Vanished Puzzle Quest tries to walk the line between a thoughtful logic puzzle and a fast-paced fantasy adventure. When it lets you sit back and look at the grid board to plot out five steps of cascading tile matches to clear a dungeon path, it works reasonably well. The puzzle engine has decent rules, and linking elemental combinations feels mathematically clean.
But the design can't get out of its own way. It ruins the tactical consideration by layering on restrictive move counters and artificial time walls that force you to stop playing strategically and start scrambling frantically. The fantasy theme is paper-thin—just a collection of generic swords, potions, and elemental assets pasted onto a spreadsheet framework. It’s functional, but it’s too uninspired to hold anyone's interest for long.
