Trash Goblin leans entirely into that relaxing niche, letting you chip away grime and appraise weird fantasy junk in your own little workshop.
My issue is that once the novelty of the initial cleaning mechanic wears off after about an hour, there's practically nothing left under the hood. It's less of a puzzle game and more of an interactive fidget toy. Back in my day, games gave you actual problems to solve or compelling stories to uncover. Here, you're just scrubbing artifacts on a loop. It's pleasant enough in small bursts if you're looking to zone out, but seasoned gamers will find the gameplay loop remarkably hollow.
