Dinsun Review

Dinsun. Dragonspear-Ex is a decent callback to the era of Dragon's Crown, but it lacks the distinct personality of its inspirations. The combat is responsive and satisfyingly crunchy, but the grind sets in far too early. You’ll find yourself re-running the same stages for gear upgrades almost immediately. The art style is high-quality but leans heavily into generic 'anime' tropes that I've seen a thousand times. For a premium game, I expected a more cohesive narrative, but the story is purely there to move you from one boss to the next. It’s competent and avoids the worst mobile F2P traps, but it’s not exactly a classic. It’s good for a few hours of monster bashing.
