Now, this is more like it. I’ve played the physical version of Everdell, and it’s a beast of a game with that giant 3D tree. Translating that to a glass screen is no small feat. The developers have mostly succeeded. The core strategy—managing your cards and workers across the four seasons—remains as tight as ever. It’s a 'real' game, requiring actual planning and foresight, which is a rare sight on mobile these days.
However, the UI is a bit of a struggle. There is so much information on the screen that it can feel cluttered on anything smaller than an iPad. In my years of gaming, I've learned that readability is king, and here it’s often sacrificed for the sake of the (admittedly beautiful) art. The AI is decent, though it won't replace a group of seasoned players. It’s a bit too pricey for a mobile app, but at least you’re getting a deep, complex experience instead of a slot machine disguised as a game.
