Finally, something that isn't trying to sell me a fake pizza or a casino dream. Void-X is a proper 'shmup.' It’s brutal, it’s fast, and it doesn't apologize for your lack of reflexes. The red-on-black visual style is striking, though it can occasionally make projectile tracking a nightmare for older eyes like mine.

It feels like a love letter to the bullet hells of the 90s. The touch controls are surprisingly tight, which is usually where these mobile ports fall apart. It’s still a 'small' game, and I wish there was more content beyond the boss rush feel, but for a few bucks, it’s a respectable piece of software. It’s hard, fair, and free of the micro-transaction filth that usually litters this store.
