Townscaper isn't really a game in the traditional sense; it’s a digital toy, and it’s one of the most beautiful things you can put on your phone. There are no timers, no currency, and no goals. You simply tap to create blocks, and the game’s underlying algorithm automatically transforms them into charming houses, towers, staircases, and bridges. It feels like magic—a digital Lego set where every piece perfectly snaps into place to create something aesthetically pleasing.
The sound design is just as important as the visuals. The gentle 'pop' and splash sounds as buildings emerge from the sea are incredibly therapeutic. It’s the ultimate 'Zen' experience. Whether you spend five minutes or five hours building a sprawling, colorful island city, you leave feeling more relaxed than when you started. It is a masterclass in minimalist design and procedural generation that everyone needs to experience.

Fixed a rare crash
Build quaint island towns with curvy streets. Build small hamlets, soaring cathedrals, canal networks, or sky cities on stilts. Block by block.
No goal. No real gameplay. Just plenty of building and plenty of beauty. That's it.
Townscaper is an experimental passion project. More of a toy than a game. Pick colors from the palette, plop down colored blocks of house on the irregular grid, and watch Townscaper's underlying algorithm automatically turn those blocks into cute little houses, arches, stairways, bridges and lush backyards, depending on their configuration.

It is a meditative tool to build sprawling hamlets, cathedral complexes, or sky cities on stilts, block by block.
Pure open-ended creative sandbox
Satisfying procedural building algorithm
Vibrant, watercolor-inspired art style
Meditative and stress-free experience
To create a garden or courtyard, enclose an area with buildings on all sides. The game will automatically fill the center with grass and trees. Similarly, removing the bottom block of a building column creates a realistic stone archway.
