Yet, thereβs an undeniable charm to how straightforward it is. You control a divine entity guiding a vessel through pixelated perils, pulling the lever to determine your fate against bosses and dungeon crawls. It respects the retro aesthetic without feeling entirely derivative.
However, letβs be realistic about its flaws. Relying on slots means your best-laid strategic plans can instantly go up in smoke purely because RNG decided to hate you on a critical boss encounter. It's addictive in short bursts, but the gameplay loop wears thin after a few hours once you realize how much control you're surrendering to Lady Luck.
