A maze you solve by folding

Walkthrough, Guilds, Tips on this special game

Our Site Score

94/100

Orisuji is an absolute breath of fresh air in the mobile puzzle space, taking hardware interaction and turning it into a core, delightful gameplay mechanic. The concept of folding your phone to manipulate a paper maze sounds gimmicky on paper, but in execution, it feels completely natural, clever, and deeply satisfying.

From the moment you dive into the first few levels, the minimalist paper-craft aesthetic draws you in. The puzzles start off friendly, teaching you how folding bridges gaps and how unfolding lifts objects away, but they quickly evolve into genuine head-scratchers. Managing characters, keys, and atmospheric worlds like Fog and Ember requires genuine spatial reasoning.

What makes Orisuji truly special, aside from its brilliant design, is its respect for the player. There are no intrusive ads, no frustrating paywalls, and no account registrations—just pure, uninterrupted puzzle bliss. If you love clever mechanics and tactile design, this is an absolute must-play.

Dinsun Review

Look, I've seen plenty of touch-screen puzzle gimmicks come and go over the last twenty years. Orisuji's core concept—using physical folding mechanics to manipulate paper maze pathways—is certainly neat on paper. Bridging gaps and manipulating NPC movement through screen folds offers a few genuine 'aha' moments early on across its 69 levels.

That said, as an old-school gamer who values tight puzzle design over hardware party tricks, the novelty starts fading around level twenty. Once you strip away the folding gimmick, you're left with a standard pathfinding grid puzzle with trial-and-error mechanics. It's functional, clean, and reasonably priced at $4.99 without predatory microtransactions, but it rarely demands deep tactical mastery.

The Game

Available on: iPhone, iPad

Version 1.0.2Mon Oct 19 2026

Three small fixes:

• A tap anywhere now waits a turn, so you don't need to find the crane first, even while it rides the left page.

• A floor that has gone now keeps its blossom mark in view: white over the dark hole, faint ink over the paper.

• On the left page, the shapes of what it carries (the characters, the moon and the key) and of its own pieces are a little stronger, so they read in the darker worlds: Fog, Ember and Dusk.

Requires iOS 26.0 or later. Compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.

Designed for iPhone Duo, where folding the phone is the move. On every other iPhone and iPad, fold with a tap or a pinch. 69 levels, one price, no ads.

Orisuji is a paper maze puzzle you solve by folding your phone. Fold it, and the left page lands on the maze: its paths bridge the holes below and pin whoever is underneath. Unfold it, and the page lifts away, carrying whoever stood on it.

Walk, fold, walk on, unfold.

• 69 levels in six worlds, each with its own paper and music

• Lure the fox, herd the black cat and the gray cat, find keys, open doors and flip floors that come and go

• Finish a level in par to earn its stamp

• Turn-based, with no timers: take as long as you like

Designed for iPhone Duo: folding the phone is the move, and the folded maze carries on, combined, on the cover screen. On every other iPhone and on iPad, the two pages open side by side, and you fold with a tap or a pinch.

No ads. No in-app purchases. No accounts. No data collection.
