KARDS – The WW2 Card Game - Walkthrough

If you love collectible card games and military history, KARDS – The WW2 Card Game (available on the Apple App Store) offers a unique tactical experience. Unlike standard fantasy CCGs, KARDS combines traditional card mechanics with genuine World War II battlefield tactics, frontlines, support lines, and resource management.

Whether you are a new recruit or looking to sharpen your ranking strategy, mastering the core mechanics is vital to dominating the enemy HQ.

1. Understand the Frontline Mechanic

The most important distinction in KARDS compared to other card games is the Frontline. Moving your units into the frontline costs kredits, but it is essential for two reasons:

  • Protection: Your frontline acts as a buffer. Units stuck in your support line generally cannot attack the enemy HQ directly unless they have ranged capabilities or the frontline is cleared.
  • Pressure Control: Controlling the frontline forces your opponent to spend resources clearing your units before they can strike back safely.

2. Choose Your Nation Synergy Wisely

KARDS allows you to pair a Major Nation (like the USA, USSR, or Germany) with a Minor Nation (such as France, Italy, or Japan). A solid strategy relies on complementary strengths:

  • Aggro Strategy: Combine nations that excel at cheap, fast units (like Japan or the UK) to overwhelm the opponent before they can deploy heavy tanks.
  • Control Strategy: Pair heavy defense and removal cards (like Soviet or US late-game assets) to out-value your opponent over a long match.

3. Resource Management & Tempo

Kards increases your available kredits by 1 each turn up to a maximum. Do not feel pressured to dump your entire hand immediately. Maintaining tempo—playing the right card at the right phase to counter what your opponent just deployed—wins games more often than raw unit spam.
