As a parent, finding apps that are both genuinely educational and safe for kids can be a struggle, but 'Elmo Loves ABCs' is the gold standard. Sesame Workshop has clearly put a lot of thought into the interface—it's intuitive enough for a three-year-old to navigate without constant adult supervision. The inclusion of real Sesame Street clips is a huge win; they provide that familiar, high-quality content that kids already love.

The tracing mechanic is forgiving yet effective, helping develop fine motor skills alongside letter recognition. I also love the 'Parent Tracker' feature which gives me a glimpse into which letters my child is mastering and which ones they might need more help with. It’s an expensive app compared to some others, but the sheer volume of content and the lack of intrusive ads make it worth every penny. It’s a wholesome, engaging, and highly effective teaching tool.

If you've got a kid, you know Elmo is basically a deity. This app knows its audience. Unlike most educational garbage on the App Store, this actually has high production values. You get real clips from Sesame Street, and Elmo’s voice-over is constant and encouraging. The tracing mechanics are surprisingly forgiving, which is great for clumsy toddler fingers. I appreciate the 'Adult' section that lets you track what your kid is actually learning. It’s not just a distraction; it’s a tool. My only real complaint? The video quality of some of the older clips is pretty rough by modern standards—blurry and pixelated. But let’s be honest, the kid won’t care. It’s expensive for a mobile app, but considering the sheer amount of licensed video content, it’s worth the price of admission.
