Devsisters knows how to make appealing characters, and the CookieRun art direction remains as polished as ever. But as a game? There's barely anything to actually play here. Calling this an RPG is generous when the loop consists entirely of tapping upgrade buttons, watching automated sprites fight, and waiting on gacha pulls.
Progression hits a hard wall early unless you commit to grinding for days or opening your wallet for summon currency. For anyone who grew up playing actual strategy games with meaningful choices, watching numbers tick up on screen isn't entertainment. It’s an idle checklist wrapped in nice art.
