While clearly targeted at a younger audience, 'Barbie™ Horse Ride & Rescue' is surprisingly competent as a horse-sim game. My big issue here is the subscription model. $9.99 a month is a lot for a kid's mobile game, even if it adds daily benefits. The gameplay loop of 'rescue, brush, dress-up, repeat' is fun for a while, but it lacks any real complexity for anyone looking for a deeper management experience. It’s a solid, safe, and pretty game for fans of the franchise, but the costs can add up if you're not careful.
