Wings of Glory attempts to bring the high-stakes world of WWI aerial combat to the small screen, but it forgets that a game needs more than just a flight manual to be engaging. As a 40-year-old gamer who grew up on the classics, I appreciate the attention to detail in the aircraft models and the somewhat realistic physics, but the pacing is glacial. It feels less like an adrenaline-fueled dogfight and more like a spreadsheet-driven skirmish. The UI is cluttered, and the progression system feels like it was designed to test my patience rather than my skill. It’s functional, sure, but where is the soul? If you’re a die-hard history buff who enjoys meticulous planning, you might squeeze some enjoyment out of this. For the rest of us, it’s a bit of a slog.
