It takes a lot for a puzzle game to genuinely impress me these days, but Damian Sowinski's VoidFlux deserves genuine respect. On the surface, it's a sleek touch-puzzle about dropping gems to cancel out flux loops. Underneath, it's secretly teaching you principles of physics and electromagnetism through pure tactile intuition without ever feeling like an educational lecture. Paired with a fantastic retro synthwave soundtrack and buttery-smooth board controls, it's an absolute joy to play in short or long sessions.

Best of all, it's a completely premium release with zero ads, zero in-app purchases, and proper respect for the player's time and hardware. The inclusion of colorblind palettes and multi-device cloud sync shows meticulous attention to detail. If you have even a passing appreciation for clever spatial puzzles wrapped in high-end style, this is easily one of the finest mobile puzzle releases of the year.

VoidFlux is an electrostatics puzzle dressed up as a neon crystal toy from the 80s. Loops of light strung across a crystal hexagon of dark matter, each carrying a number, its flux, that the dark matter needs gone, and charged crystal gems below: teal for positive, pink for negative, one burning core per quantum of charge. Use each crystal, bring each loop to zero flux, and bring back the Void.
Between rounds there is Wittgenstein’s Tractatus retold in 80s arcade slang, shipping in nine languages, English, Polish, Spanish, French, Portuguese, German, Italian, Danish, and Latin, because an 80s Tractatus without a Latin edition would be rude.
