Vertical Golf takes the traditional sport and flips itโliterally. By turning golf into a vertical climbing challenge, the developers have created something that feels more like a platformer than a sports simulation. The 'one-more-try' factor is high here, as you carefully aim your shots to land on tiny floating islands high in the sky.
The clean, flat-art aesthetic is very pleasing, and the lack of a strict 'par' system on many levels allows for a more relaxed, exploratory vibe. However, the wind mechanics in later stages can be quite punishing. If you're looking for a fresh take on golf that favors precision and verticality over long-drive fairways, this is a solid pick.

Vertical Golf reimagines the game of golf by tasking players with hitting their ball upward through a series of increasingly difficult platforms. Instead of a flat course, you'll encounter vertical puzzles filled with moving obstacles, wind currents, and treacherous ledges. With simple pull-and-release mechanics, it offers an accessible but deep challenge for anyone looking for a unique twist on the classic sport.
Unique vertical gameplay mechanics
Challenging wind and gravity puzzles
Beautifully minimalist art style
Smooth pull-to-aim controls
Increasingly complex environmental hazards
When the wind socks are blowing hard, aim significantly against the direction of the wind. The higher the arc of your shot, the more the wind will carry the ball.
On small platforms, use very little power. It's often better to take two small shots than one large shot that might bounce you off the edge into the abyss.
You will usually restart from the last 'checkpoint' platform you successfully landed on, though it will add to your total shot count.
