I haven't laughed this much at a mobile game in a while. The premise of 'Trees Hate You' is ridiculous, and the game leans into it perfectly. The way the trees suddenly grow eyes and lunges at you is both creepy and hilarious. The physics are also great—watching your lumberjack get launched across the screen by a rogue branch is always funny.
Beneath the humor, there’s actually a really tight survival game. It gets very chaotic very quickly, and you need good reflexes to keep track of all the different threats. It’s a bit like 'Vampire Survivors' but with more focus on active dodging. It’s a great, quirky title that doesn't take itself too seriously.
I'm getting too old to be bullied by a virtual oak tree. This is a 'rage game' in the purest sense—it’s intentionally unfair, and your progress is measured by how many times you fall for a prank. It’s well-made for what it is, and the 3D art style is surprisingly decent, but I find the core loop of 'die to a hidden trap, laugh, repeat' a bit exhausting. It relies on shock value and 'streamer bait' mechanics. If you're 20 and find it hilarious to be crushed by a falling branch you couldn't see coming, you'll love it. For me, I’d rather play something that respects my time and skill rather than just laughing at my expense. It’s clever, I'll give it that, but it's a one-trick pony.
Performance: Stable performance; physics-based traps react consistently (and cruelly).
Buy if: You enjoy the 'Getting Over It' style of games or want to watch someone else suffer.
Skip if: You have a low tolerance for trial-and-error or games that cheat to win.

Requires iOS 13.0 or later. Compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.Hike through the worst forest full of the most horrible trees. Do not trust them. The trees will trick you. They will bully you. They will hurt you. If only you could find an axe...
After a picnic in the woods, it's time to go home. But the nearby flora is determined to take you off course and make your life miserable.
This is a rage game focused on traps and gags instead of precise platforming. There's a surprise around every corner.
These trees are unfair, mean, and merciless. They will use your expectations against you to humiliate you.
n this game, you can:
- Be the victim of a variety of bullying methods
- Get lost in several biomes as your journey goes terribly off course
- Collect cool hats (or ugly hats, depending on your fashion sense)
- Find an axe?

In Trees Hate You, the tables have turned. After decades of deforestation, the trees have decided they've had enough. You play as a confused lumberjack who must survive in a forest that is actively trying to take him out. This is a top-down survival game where you must dodge lunging roots, avoid falling logs, and fend off 'Sentient Saplings.' Use your environment against them—lure a charging Oak into a rock or use a 'Solar Flare' power-up to temporarily daze the foliage. It’s a fast-paced, funny, and surprisingly challenging game that puts a dark-comedy spin on the survival genre.
Unique 'Nature Revenge' Theme
Hilarious Ragdoll Physics
Dozens of Hostile Tree Types
Unlockable Characters and Hats
The Willows are the most dangerous—they use their branches like whips. Stay in the center of the clearings. When a shadow appears on the ground, move immediately! That's a falling Redwood that will instantly end your run.
Move your character using a virtual joystick. You don't have a traditional weapon; instead, you collect 'Nature Spirits' that grant temporary powers, like an 'Axe Whirlwind' or a 'Salt Circle' that keeps roots away.
There is an 'Endless Forest' mode for high scores and a 'Season Mode' with specific levels and boss fights (like the Great Sequoia).
