Great game, but
Sun Nov 10 2024 trentkeelerrLove playing this game, it’s a lot of fun I’ve had it for like 2 or the years now. The only thing I don’t like is that there is an ad after every single attempt at a level. I get it that’s how you make money but it’s just not great for the player experience. I usually play a round and then just close the game right after I win so I don’t get bombarded by the ad.
Another thing is. There are some levels that are impossible, and I do mean impossible, if you don’t watch an ad for one of the 3x speed guys. Or the other is by spending lots of money on a leveled up character. Cause I’ve been playing this long and still haven’t unlocked anything stronger than my basic character. And it is a lot of money, they’ll come up with a “deal” sometimes and it’d be like an “epic” character for only 50-70$! I’m just confused. Wish that all my time in the game got me something but at the same time I don’t want it to end up being a cash grab update. So it’s fine how it is, I’m on like level 480 or something. The gems that you get are very valuable as I’ve only probably gotten like 100 if that. But I’ve been saving to open there top chest maybe in just another 3-4 years.
Great game but awful way of developing

I’m okay with ads idc about them honestly but when it happens in the middle of a “campaign” or mission whatever you wanna call it it’s annoying I can understand afterwords but in the middle like come on especially in their new PvP you still get ads in the middle of playing against people can you see how poorly that goes? As for the freezing and overheating of my phone also annoying but the freezing of the game doesn’t happen often for me anyway it’s more or less playing this game for hours starts to slow my phone down even after closing the game idk if it’s because of overheating or what but a little frustrating. Regardless I love the game it’s simple and keeps me occupied for when I’m bored and it’s super easy best tower defense game out there that’s this simple but satisfying for my needs.
Edit: best way to play and the only reason imma give it 4 stars instead of 3 is because when you turn WiFi and data off obviously no ads but also there’s no way to get better soldiers and tanks this way. I just did 200 levels or more just today with just the basic stuff still fun to play.
TERRIBLE Ads, Great game.
Thu Dec 02 2021 MrArmyRangerNormally I don’t write reviews. I think this is my first one actually. This is a great game, and they know this. In which case they BOMBARD you with ads. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a game THIS bad with advertisements. I was getting upset when certain games had ads after every level, but my goodness this is terrible. Literally 70% of your total playtime on this game is ads. There’s an ad before every level, and if you take too long during a level, there’s up to 3 ads, then when you finish the level guess what? Yup. Another ad. I would give this game a 0 just because of how bad the ads are. I don’t even want to play it after 5 minutes because I get atleast 5 ads within that time. I tried timing it to see how much actual in game time you get before an ad, but I’ve seen no consistency. Some every 30 seconds, some every minute, and at the maximum was 2 full minutes without an ad. (Not counting the before and after ads) Outstanding. I have no idea how this game has 4+ stars with the amount of advertisements this game has. They want you to pay for their game soooo badly. I’m sure 90% of people got sick of it and just bought the game, then gave it a good review. If you want to waste your time watching ads, go ahead and download this game. I have nothing good to say other than it’s a great place to find a new game. Sickening.

Thu Feb 15 2024 vaguelydogmaticI really enjoy this game. maybe too much. there were a lot of ads for a while but i turned it off of cellular so i didn’t get any. Then at some point i guess i bought something that stopped the popup ads. Yay!
but almost every in app purchase (besides whichever one i randomly bought) is like $50. like they want you to pay $99 for an imaginary tank that i guess is really powerful, but who would pay that amount? and they’re pretending it’s discounted from $250. like unbelievably overpriced. $11-$20 to buy a single battlepass. i guess I'm grateful because i probably would’ve ended up buying a lot in this game if the options were cheaper. but why did they do that to themselves? they’d make a lot more money if they lowered the price barrier by 80%.
again, the game is really fun, engaging, and has three options for gameplay and different ways to level up. maybe a lot of the other PVP players are bots but who cares. there doesn’t seem to be an option to play with or against friends which would be nice to have but isn’t necessary.

Extremely addictive and fun game. BUT: it is built on a mountain of lies, deceit, and treacherous game structuring. As to the former two, in the PVP battles (the best part) you don’t play against real players (how else could PVP work in Airplane Mode?). I question if the Arena battles even use real players’ stats too, as that also works in Airplane Mode as well. Further: 一 the upgrade chips for troops are too difficult to procure, especially for blue and purple troops. No levels that I’ve seen have offered them as reward. You myst buy them with arena battle tokens, and they’re too expensive. I have 3 units stuck - looks like it will take 1 month to upgrade just 1. Guess they want you to spend $20 for a booster pack or watch $20 worth of ads over the month. 二 you should have a small gem/coin store to buy useful items, e.g. equipment, upgrade tokens, boosters, etc. that refreshes each day. Note the one in Archero. 三 Why do challenges refresh and have a cool off period? It’s obnoxious to not be able to play the challenges on certain days. Also, I find myself playing some of the same challenges again after the refresh. 四 The PVP opponent attack levels often are far lower than mine, and this makes it very easy. Rebalancing it would be great.
Ad machine
Sun Jan 09 2022 CaptAthlonPrior to the latest update (shortly before Thanksgiving 2021) I would have given this game 4 out of 5 stars. It’s fun and some levels are challenging, but there haven’t been any new levels added in forever. But now I give it 2 stars, because the number of ads has pretty much tripled and the daily challenges have been removed. I used to get one ad during gameplay and one ad between levels, but now I get as many as 3 ads during gameplay and still get the one between levels. For some of the easier levels, you spend more time watching ads than completing the level. Unacceptable. Since this game could be really fun, I’m holding off on deleting it hoping the developers will come out with a new update with some decent improvements. But if that doesn’t happen, it’ll definitely get deleted. JAN 2022 UPDATE: I lowered my rating to one star. This game has way too many ads. It’s no longer fun at all, and the developers don’t seem to care. Deleted.
JAN 9, 2022 UPDATE: I received a response from the developer saying they reduced the number of ads and asking me to give them another try. I re-downloaded the game, and so far I am happy. I increased my rating to 4 stars, since it remains to be seen whether daily challenges or new levels have also been added. It’s glad to see the developers appear to be listening.
The ads are NOT the worst part!

In one evening, I managed to get through the first 50 or so levels and leveled up to the 2nd bronze tier in pvp (which aren’t real players btw). The ads were numerous but doable in order to get additional rewards. Fyi, if you choose to skip watching an ad for x3 or to spin again, you still watch an ad, albeit skippable.
However, what is really troublesome about this game and why I decided to delete it is the horrendous gameplay. There is no sufficient tutorial or explanation as to what the diff parts of the game mean and how they relate. For example, the battle pass. I didn’t realize I needed to complete daily and weekly quests in order to advance in the battle pass. Once I figured that out, I realized I needed to beat EIGHTY main levels (among other things) in order to get stars to advance in battle pass.
Then I noticed with pvp your power means nothing. I had leveled up my unit and tank to almost 2,000 yet I was losing to “players” with not even 1,000. As I googled and researched tips and strategies for the game as well as read Apple reviews, I knew there was no way I was keeping this game so I deleted it and I suggest you do too until the devs make some serious changes to the gameplay. It’s a very obvious money grab with no real consideration for the players. Unfortunate because it is a fun game.
Ads and impossible levels

In between games as the levels usually do not take more than a few minutes. However, the developers clearly think that ads are NEEDED during gameplay as they have responded to other reviews with that thought process. You can still get revenue based on ads in between games. Saying you need to put ads “for functionality and to keep developing the game” simply translates to “I want more money” because there are hundreds of thousands of other games that do not do what is done here. There are games similar to that of this game that does not require ads through the game itself. On top of this, I have found that once you get to around level 150, the game requires you to use boosts to win. Otherwise, there is no technique to win the round. I have tried and failed several times with each level and it’s just not possible. Do not waste your time with this game as it may seem fun at first, but it will eventually become a problem to play and succeed.
Too many ads and freezing
Sun Apr 17 2022 TxMomTo5I would really LOVE to give this game a 5 star review, as it is the only one I have found like this that does not repeat levels, and also it gives a lot of new content. I truly love this game, BUT, there are anywhere from 2-5 ads during the game itself, not to mention another one after the game. I’m all for the ads, and I get you can pay to remove the ads, but there are just too many during the game. And the ads sometimes cause the game to freeze, and you have to start the level over. It is very frustrating, and makes you not want to play. Also, I all for ads, BUT there is one ad that is NOT appropriate for kids. It’s a shame that you would support them by having their ad in the game. Showing women half dressed, and the worst is for Kings Castle, or something with Kings, showing stars over women’s nipples. It makes me feel like I’m looking at something I shouldn’t. If you would watch your content before allowing them to have an ad in your game, that would be great. Also, lower the ads during the game to maybe 1, and I’d be happy with that. Too many ads for sure, and about to delete it, but I have to say it is a GREAT game, so props to whomever created it!!!
Micro transaction galore
Tue Sep 10 2024 Bobby_41The game is a ton of fun. Like others have said, you can spend quite a bit of time playing, and very rarely lose interest in any of the levels/pvp battles. It’s about as fun, if not better than its sister app “War Regions”. Yeah, there are a ton of ads, but I personally don’t mind that. If I enjoy the game enough, I’ll usually purchase the ad blocker.
My biggest gripe: the fact that this game pushes you in the direction of being a pay to win. Depending on the rarity of the arsenal that you have at your disposal, you are forced to either shop in the store or purchase the battle pass in order to get the necessary components to upgrade further. Not only that, but items that you can get from the chest, on the terrible chance you’ll actually get enough rubies to purchase a silver or gold, the probability of getting anything decent is god awful. Not to mention that after every battle, the developers are shoving the better items practically down your throat in regards to purchasing them. $40-$50 for a purple/gold item that I’m going to have to shell out even more money for to upgrade is crazy work.
Might want to tone that down a bit, your greed is really showing.
