Stack the Countries is that rare educational game that children actually want to play. It takes the potentially dry subject of world geography and turns it into a vibrant, physics-based puzzle challenge. The core mechanic of answering a question to earn a country—each with its own unique shape and size—and then stacking them to reach a finish line is brilliant. You aren't just memorizing names; you're learning the physical 'weight' and geography of the world.

The game covers 193 countries and includes details like capitals, flags, and landmarks, making it incredibly comprehensive. The inclusion of mini-games like 'Map It' and 'Pile Up' provides variety, and the ability to earn 'random countries' for your own personalized world map creates a satisfying sense of collection. It’s polished, colorful, and genuinely fun for all ages. It turns learning into a game of skill and strategy that feels rewarding with every successful stack.

Usually, 'educational' is code for 'boring,' but Stack the Countries actually tries. The trivia is legitimate—it’s not just naming capitals, but flags, landmarks, and shapes too. The physics stacking part adds a layer of frustration that I actually respect; you can know the answer, but if you drop the country wrong, it’s game over. It forces you to take your time.

It’s geared toward a younger audience, obviously. The art is 'cute' in a way that I find a bit grating, but it serves its purpose. My main gripe is that once you’ve learned the facts, the game has nothing left to offer. It’s a learning tool with a shelf life. But for a parent or someone wanting to brush up on world knowledge, it's a solid, honest piece of software. No hidden tricks, just learning.
