It’s incredibly motivating to know that if I just push a little harder for thirty seconds, I’ll take down a legendary Sapper.
The audio cues are well-produced and keep you immersed without needing to stare at your screen while running, which is a huge safety plus. I also love the gear system—it gives you a reason to keep coming back every day to grind for better stats. Whether you're a hardcore runner or just trying to get more steps in your day, this app makes the process genuinely exciting.
I'm 40; my knees aren't what they used to be, but I gave this a shot. It’s better than Pokemon GO in terms of actually being a 'game,' but it’s still fundamentally a fitness tracker with a coat of paint. The combat is based on your pace, which is interesting, but it gets repetitive fast once the novelty of 'running to hit a goblin' wears off.
The UI is slick, and I appreciate the audio-focused gameplay so you don't have to stare at your screen while running (which is dangerous). However, it feels like it’s trying too hard to be 'cool.' I’d rather just run and play a real game later. It’s a gimmick, but at least it’s a well-executed one.

Run Legends turns your daily exercise into an epic RPG adventure. Your walking and running pace directly translates into combat actions; speed up to attack and slow down to heal or defend. Designed for all fitness levels, you can play solo or cooperatively with friends to take down bosses. The game tracks your movement in the background, allowing you to focus on your environment while the audio-led gameplay guides your workout.

Before you start, make sure your GPS is on. Begin your walk and listen for the audio cues. When an enemy appears, increase your pace to 'Power Walk' to deal damage. If your health gets low, the game will tell you to slow down to a 'Recovery Pace' to heal.
