Prisma is a beautiful example of how a simple change can make a classic game feel brand new. I've always liked Sudoku, but it can feel a bit like homework after a while. Replacing the numbers with colors makes it feel much more like a creative process. By the time you finish a board, it looks like a piece of modern art.

The UI is incredibly polished and minimalist. I especially love the different color themes—the 'Ocean' palette is very calming. It’s also surprisingly harder than regular Sudoku because your brain has to learn to categorize the colors rather than just recognizing digits. It's a great twist on a classic and a very relaxing way to spend twenty minutes.

I've been playing Sudoku in the Sunday paper for twenty years, so I'm a bit of a purist. Prisma Farb Sudoku is a well-built app, but the 'color' gimmick is a double-edged sword. On one hand, it’s a nice change of pace and makes the grid look like a piece of modern art. On the other, it’s harder for my eyes to quickly scan for 'missing colors' compared to 'missing numbers' after a long day. The interface is slick and the difficulty scaling is honest. It’s a solid puzzle app, but it doesn't do enough to pull me away from my standard version. It’s dependable, polished, and safe—just how I like my coffee, but maybe a bit too safe for a game.
