this game is amazing! + some suggs :)
Sat Feb 25 2023 zen_trashthis game is great and incredibly addicting. i love the NFL draft process and the concept of team building, and this game does it all so well. not to mention it is an iOS game (there are not many iOS games that i enjoy) and it is incredibly energy efficient. kudos to the creator!
if i were to make any suggestions, i think increasing the salary cap every year would be a nice thing to have. the NFL salary cap normally raises around 20m every year. the reason i say this is because it can be frustrating at times working with a big QB contract while also trying to retain players at important positions.
would also be nice if we received compensatory picks for losing good players in free agency like in the NFL. it’s a bit unfortunate when you can’t pay a super high rated player and you have to let them go, and you get nothing out of it. one sneaky way around it for the user is to just offer the player a 1 year contract with low guaranteed money and then trade them off for a ton of draft picks, but that feels like cheating lol
other than that, i think it would be nice to have something like a practice squad. there have been many times where i want to develop low-rated players who have potential but i just don’t have the space due to roster limitations. it would be great to have a place for players to develop and be elevated if there are ever any injuries.
that’s all. thanks for making such a great game, even though it has taken over my life!
Started off fun
Thu Mar 23 2023 Nig DugSo I will say when I first got this it seemed actually really fun. The trading, free agency and just general GM aspect is honestly really good. However the simming of the games and watching them genuinely is awful. Firstly so many penalties it’s actually absurd. There’s like multiple automatic first down penalties called every single drive whether it’s defensive holding, roughing the passer, unnecessary roughness, etc to the point it’s actually just annoying to watch. Second the decision making makes absolutely no sense. I had one game I was down 10 with 4 minutes left on the opponents 40 and my team punted?? Then the very next game I had a 4th and 17 at the opponents like 25 easily in FG range and my team decided to go for it, obviously not making it. Then later that game down 21-7 made it to 4th and goal at the 3 and they kicked a FG. Completely throwing the game. Just none of this makes sense at all
Edit: After continuing to play this game it gets worse and worse. I do not recommend playing unless lots of fixes are made. Penalties are still awful. And I’m like 99% sure your player overalls and team overalls genuinely don’t matter at all. I have played about 10 seasons built my team to an 89 overall the next highest is around 84. And my team consistently is losing to and sometimes getting blown out by absolutely awful 75 overall or less teams even lost one 31-5 against a 68 overall team
Great game but the new update made the draft confusing in blindaccessibility mode
Tue May 06 2025 Lucky 10382I love these types of games and I am super into this game in particular. I am blind and playing this game in voice over mode which is the accessibility setting for iPhones. This game is quite accessible which was a nice surprise. Almost everything is labeled. The main notable exception is the middle tab at the bottom of the page. It’s just labeled as tab and then says 3/5. The Tab to the left is labeled team 2/5 and the tab to the right is labeled league3/5. I like parts of the new update. The mini camp update is interesting and helpful. The draft however is so much harder to figure out in the accessibility mode I’m using. I can’t emphasize how much harder it is to figure it out. I’ve gone through 4 drafts i’m finally comfortable enough to use the new draft feature, but for my personal preference I was able to navigate the old draft feature much better.
Absolutely great game
Mon Jun 26 2023 This app is poo.Love this game. I’ve been playing since PGM2. I’m currently in year 2102 on my current save. Only thing I really think needs improvement would be the scouting. It’s really hard to build a dynasty due to the scouting. I’ve had great scouts that rated several players highly that I drafted and ended up getting terrible ratings. I’d love to see multiple position scouts as well. In example, head scout specialty would be entire o-line instead of specifically C,OG, or OT. Or specialize in receiving or blocking WR and TE. Same for defense. I’ve had great success playing on Hard as I’ve won 23 championships with a score of 1,744. I’ve done so mostly by managing contracts to creat cap space, and sign highly rated veteran players, then switching teams to one looking for a rebuild and repeating the process. I’ve won a championship with 11/32 franchises. Will be looking to build a dynasty soon to try and change the dynamic, but is hard to do so with poor scouts.
Some Great, Some Issues
Sun Mar 24 2024 The CitativeThe draft system, negotiating, and in-season stuff is very solid and fun. Most of the game is fantastic. The only thing I don’t enjoy is the coaching system. A lot of times you’ll get screwed if you don’t have your coaches on the same page which makes sense, but I think there should be some kind of mechanic where the head coach defers the schematic stuff to the coaches, that way you aren’t forced to hire 73 ovr coordinators when there are 99 ovr coordinators available for the right price. A couple of ideas: 1) there could be a new type of head coach, the “CEO” type 2) have some kind of agreeableness stat where a coach is more or less willing to change tendencies based on who his other coaches are 3) have the philosophies of the coaches be adaptable towards how the roster is constructed, at least to some degree. Love the game, keep making it great!

Thu Apr 24 2025 Mavericks52I played this game in the past, the previous versions. I remember really enjoying it. I downloaded this one, took over a garbage team, and built them into contenders. There was 1 year I had the best team absolutely no question. 94 overall team, the best coaches in the game, and we lose by 3 in the championship game by an 87 overall team that did not even have good coaching. But whatever, I moved on. I still have not won the championship after maybe 6 seasons or so because it’s so hard to stay under the cap when your QB wants $40m/yr. But the nail in the coffin was in the draft I’m trying to replace my 32 year old QB taking up like a quarter of our salary cap and I draft a QB scouted as an A, projected A+ , projected top 5 pick, and I select the dude just for him to be a 55 overall with slow development??? Dude that’s insane. I get busts happen, but there’s no way. And no, I didn’t have great scouts, because God forbid you have a good coach, he wants $10m/yr which is half your staff salary and you have 8 other positions to fill!!
One of the most realistic and fun football gm games I’ve played
Sun Apr 27 2025 Theories offjrThis game is just as realistic if not more than Madden’s franchise mode.
Player development feels way more natural, with more randomness and limits on growth. A rookie might start out looking like a star, but if he has low potential, he won’t develop much, which makes scouting and guessing who will break out way more important. There’s also a lot more chances for draft busts and late-round gems compared to most GM games, where good players are usually gone by pick 20.
Players have real personalities and mental traits too, which affect how fast they learn the playbook and how well they build chemistry with teammates. Plus, the random events like suspensions, fights at practice, or surprise ratings jumps/drops keep things interesting and unpredictable.
The biggest issues are that defensive awards are way too focused on middle linebackers, Pro Bowl DBs are chosen based more on tackles and picks instead of pass breakups, and it’s a little too easy for top D-linemen and edge rushers to rack up 20+ sacks. Also, positions like center, guard, middle linebacker, and safety tend to get drafted a bit too early compared to real life.
Still, pocket gm is one of if not my favorite sports gm simulators available
Literally one issue
Sun Aug 18 2024 SwimPorpoiseI’ve always loved this game and I just came back to it recently ( on hard not sure if it affects the issue) I love most of the changes they made except now when I’m negotiating with a player I can literally make 2 offers then it’s done I can no longer negotiate I can only resign the player if I have my staff do it? I feel like this must be a bug because of how annoying and pointless it is but if it’s a feature I really hope they revert it to how it was maybe instead of only allowing 2 offers give the player a chance to increase his demand after a bad offer? The change genuinely makes the off season significantly more excruciating and annoying for what should be the most important part of the game. Still love the game! just hope they change that horrendous feature
*Almost* perfect
Wed Mar 15 2023 B. Trill 1CrownFirst and foremost, let me say this is one of my all-time favorite mobile games, and by FAR the best gm game I’ve ever had on my phone. The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars (though it’s more like 4.5) is because it lacks one thing that I feel is essential to a gm game: a position editor. The ability to move a corner to safety or DE to DT, guard to center, etc, can greatly affect how you build a team, and what your able to do… maybe exploiting a strength in a corner that works better at the safety position in your scheme, or you drafted a really good guard who could actually start at center even if he took a slight ratings hit. Whatever the case, being able to edit positions is a must-have and this is the only big improvement I can possibly think of to add to this already impressive and addicting game.
Poor Simulation Algorithm
Thu Oct 02 2025 DэvidI really wanted to like this game. It has a polished UI and a surprising amount of depth in the trade system. However, after playing several seasons I began to suspect player stats didn’t mean as much as I would expect.
As a test, I edited every single player on my team to have 99 in every stat (except injury prone-ness) and simmed a season. This is obviously completely unattainable in normal play, and the real life equivalent would be a team comprised of the best player in history at every single position.
The results:
-I was the top-scoring team less than 30% of the time. I never scored, and never saw any other team score, over 50 points in a game. In multiple games my team scored less than 10 points.
-My team did go 17-0 in the regular season but lost the “Champions Bowl.”
-My perfect QB stats were good for 4,500 passing yds, 300 rushing yards, 41 TDs and 8 ints. This is obviously an MVP season in the real world, but real QBs on teams without “perfect” players at every position have done better than this.
-None of my demigod backs in a “lead back” scheme rushed for over 1000 yds with five demigods on the OL.
My only conclusion here is that there is a lot of rubber-banding going on and paradoxically quite a lot of variance (in all the wrong ways). Please fix this—the game is basically unplayable when the core function of a simulation game produces results that bear no resemblance to the real world.
