Plant X: Plant Survivor is a fantastic entry into the burgeoning 'bullet heaven' or reverse bullet-hell genre. Taking the core addictive loop made popular by Vampire Survivors and giving it a botanical, sci-fi twist works surprisingly well. The weapon variety—ranging from rapid-fire seeds to area-of-effect petals—allows for very distinct builds in every run.

What sets Plant X apart is its charming art style and the punchy feedback of the combat. Scaling your plant's abilities feels organic, and the enemy variety keeps you on your toes. As someone who has reviewed many survivor games, I appreciate that the difficulty curve here feels fair; you'll die often, but each death grants you the currency needed to make your next sprout just a little bit tougher. It’s a garden of chaos that I couldn't stop playing.

Look, I’ve seen this a hundred times now. Plant X is another entry in the 'Survivor' genre that popped up after everyone saw how much money could be made from auto-firing bullet hells. It swaps vampires for plants—some of which are armed with laser guns and 'bomber's gloves' for some reason—and sends you through generic biomes. It's fun for about twenty minutes until you realize you're just grinding for legendary gear to keep up with the artificial difficulty spikes. The gacha elements and upgrade paths are standard mobile fare. It’s not a bad game per se, but it’s completely unoriginal. It’s the 'store brand' version of a better game.

Try to combine Fire-based seeds with Wind-based buffs. The wind helps push enemies back into the fire zones, creating a defensive perimeter that protects your plant from melee rushes.
