I’ve spent a lot of time with physics racers, and Offroad Legends 2 is one of the more 'honest' ones. It doesn't hand you victory; it makes you fight for every meter of dirt. The damage model is actually quite impressive for a mobile title—watching your suspension buckle after a poorly timed jump is oddly satisfying. However, as an old-school gamer, I find the level design to be a bit 'gotcha' heavy. There are too many instances where you'll fail a run not because of bad driving, but because you didn't know a specific trap was coming. It forces a cycle of memorization rather than pure skill.

The controls are standard—left for tilt, right for gas—and they work well enough, but the floaty physics of the lighter trucks can be a headache. It’s a good-looking game with some decent heft to the vehicles, but the difficulty spikes are uneven. It’s better than the first game, certainly, but it still lacks that final layer of refinement that makes a game truly addictive rather than just a way to kill time.
