Our Site Score

82/100

My Mole is a breath of fresh air in the mobile simulation genre. While many games focus on high-pressure management, this title leans into a 'chill' aesthetic that rewards patience and curiosity. The loop of digging, finding items, and returning to upgrade your mole is incredibly satisfying, and the sense of scale—from a simple basement to an entire town's sewer system—is impressive for a casual game.

The visuals are charmingly simple, and the customization options for your mole add a nice personal touch. However, as some players have noted, it can feel a bit repetitive after a few hours of play. Adding more dynamic missions or seasonal events would go a long way in maintaining long-term engagement. Overall, it’s a perfect 'unwinding' game for anyone who loves low-stress exploration and cute animals.

Dinsun Review

Dinsun here. GAME START LLC usually puts out decent, small-scale titles, and 'My Mole' follows that pattern. It’s a very quiet game. You dig, you find acorns, you buy a hat for your mole. It’s got that 'Japanese Rural Life' aesthetic—very clean pixel art and a focus on the mundane.

I find the exploration loop somewhat meditative, though it lacks any real tension. There are no enemies, no 'game over' screens, just a map to fill out. It’s a bit too simple for a 'serious' session, but as a secondary game to play while listening to a podcast, it fits. It’s conservative in its scope, which I respect more than games that try to do too much and fail.
