Look, I've seen a hundred of these interactive story apps come and go, and My Escape doesn't do much to separate itself from the pack. As Dinsun, I expect a story to actually reward my intuition, but here, the 'choices' often feel like mere illusions designed to lead you toward a premium currency gate. The writing is passable if you’re looking for a soapy distraction, but the lack of mechanical innovation is glaring.

The art style is clean, sure, but it lacks a unique soul. It feels like it was generated to hit a specific demographic target rather than tell a compelling tale. For a 40-year-old gamer who grew up on complex RPGs and point-and-click adventures, this feels paper-thin. It’s an interactive book that asks for your wallet more often than your brain.
