Dinsun here. The market is absolutely flooded with 'Escape Room' games, so standing out is a monumental task. Mindeater tries to distinguish itself with a darker, more surreal atmosphere, and it largely succeeds there. The puzzles are logical—something I always check for first—and don't rely on 'moon logic' that makes no sense. I appreciate the focus on observation and deduction over just finding hidden pixels.

However, it lacks the tactile feel of something like 'The Room.' The interactions feel a bit flat, and the narrative, while present, is a bit too vague for my tastes. I like a story that rewards my progress with more than just 'here is another room with a lock.' It’s a solid brain-teaser for a rainy afternoon, but it didn't leave a lasting impression. If you’re a veteran of the genre, you’ll likely breeze through this without much struggle. It’s good, but it’s essentially 'more of the same.'
