★★★★★ Cute but falls short of original

I downloaded the original Mimpi for free during a promotion and absolutely loved it. It was strange, atmospheric, challenging, and cute. It was something different. Needless to say as soon as I saw this sequel in the App Store I bought it at full price. In retrospect that purchase was made mostly to reward the developers for their first effort than for this one. The sequel is cute, but that's about it. The atmosphere is still a little strange, but the challenge is gone, and that grander sense of adventure has been replaced by simple, elementary puzzles that are clearly aimed at fixing the criticism that the first title was "too difficult." I felt the developers were very courageous the first time around but as soon as I booted this title and heard the happy music, I knew something was off. I'll assume that people who tried this game first and loved it may go back and try the first and be dumbfounded at the bizarreness and challenge of it. But I feel the developers went half way here instead of going all the way in either the "strange" or "kid friendly" directions, thus alienating many people. And come on, what's the point of collecting bones if practically none of them are hidden? I don't get it. Bring the challenge back next time please!

I'm 22 and really enjoyed this app. The artwork is beautiful and the story is phenomenal. We all wonder what our dogs dream about. However, I wanted to see more for the dog. Bones are ok, but where are all of the other treats our dogs love and the audience would enjoy collecting? Maybe add some more treats like bacon, soft chews, jerky, or even squeak toys. And finally, the levels. I think the game was a little short to be released as a paid app. I finished the app fast. Plus, i wanted to see more dog themed places or funny little correlations to dogs. My dogs love car rides, dog parks, hiking mountains, lizards, cats, insects, the beach, farms, and other dogs. Last thing, there wasnt a lot of hidden stuff, but it looked like you were planning to go back and add it. Not sure but hidden caves and mini missions would be cool. Hope this review was helpful. ★★★★★ Good visuals, but very easy casual game

A lot of time spent on he look, but this seems to miss a target audience or lacks the thoughtfulness of a message. Puzzles (which aren't puzzles but rather a situation in which you can't obviously advance without a swipe or touch) are easy with hint opportunities available (there's a balloon, guess I'll have to poke something). And the story just seems sort of random. I see another reviewer finds the anti-factory and animal testing themes weak, and I agree. If it's a kids game, you should say why. If it's a game for an older audience than the under-10 range, then make the game challenging. Visuals look good though, and that's usually enough for the App Store to go nuts over a game, often rewarding the concept over the actual execution of the product.

I love this game and I am 34 yrs old. The levels are all so creatively done and so interesting to see what's going to happen next as its all SO different than what you'd expect. Even when you die you come back to your last check point which is never far behind, ever! You'll always come back to life right away with no wait times - called unlimited lives. I recommend to all who enjoy puzzle type games in world type atmospheres. You have to figure things out like jump-here-to-spin-this-to-swing-over-those-to-bounce-there-then-push-that-to-get-a-key type of stuff. So much fun!!

★★★★★ Cute but frustrating

The developers need to work on their affordances, signaling, and designing for imprecise fingers. The tutorial level is great, but too many times did I fall prey to a drop of acid that I did not see, trying to activate a lever in an elevator when I was supposed to kick a beam out of the way, or hitting the move button when I was trying to drag something onscreen. Trying to move the records was the worst part, since I did not have a large area in which to move them, the record player was right next to the move button, and often, the records would fall right back onto the record player when I tried to move them away. This game is probably better for iPad - it's simply too small on iPhone.

★★★★★ BEST GAME I'VE EVER PLAYED!

This game is AMAZING! I would have to say that this is the best game I've ever played in my LIFE. I would definitely say that this would be worth buying. At first, by looking at the pictures, I wasn't sure that this game would be fun, but I was wrong! It is so much fun! I love all of the different obstacles and levels. With most apps I finish all the levels and delete the game after. But this game was so much fun that even though I have finished all the levels, I'm keeping it incase the creators of this game will create more levels.

I have never played a game that has made me want to write a review about it before, but this game has changed that. The graphics are beautiful, they storylines are fun and relevant to our modern day society, and who doesn't love that dog? The only bad thing about it is that I finished the entire game in a day. I would highly recommend this game for anyone who has some time to kill and wants to challenge their brain a little bit. I would just love some new levels though in the next update.
