Dinsun Review

I’ve built a hundred cities in space since the 90s, and Marsaction 2 doesn't offer anything new to the genre. It’s the standard 'wait-to-build' affair that has dominated mobile for a decade. You click a building, you wait six hours, or you pay to skip it. There’s no real 'homesteading' or survival here; it’s just a spreadsheet with a sci-fi coat of paint.

The combat is mostly automated, which takes all the fun out of having mechs. The visuals are decent enough, with some nice lighting effects on the Martian surface, but the character designs are forgettable. My biggest issue is the 'Pay-to-Win' nature of the alliances. If you don't spend money, you'll eventually be steamrolled by someone who did. It’s a predatory model that ruins what could have been a decent strategy game. It's not about how smart you play, but how much you pay.

Exploration is vital for gathering resources. Enter the map and look for the wheel icon to start missions. Note that once an exploration begins, you must complete it by defeating bosses to exit with your rewards.
