Finally, something with a bit of heart. Lonesome Village doesn't try to reinvent the wheel, but it executes its 'cozy' premise with more competence than most. The decision to remove combat entirely is bold, though it leaves the gameplay loop feeling a bit thin during the long stretches of village maintenance. The puzzles are the real draw—some are genuinely clever, though many skew a bit too young for my taste.
The art style is the standout feature here; it looks like a high-quality children's book. However, the 'social' aspect of the game feels a bit superficial. You do errands for people, they say thanks, and that’s about it. It lacks the depth of a true life-sim like Stardew, but as a light puzzle-adventure, it’s a respectable effort that doesn't try to pick your pocket with microtransactions.
