Interrogation: Deceived is one of the most intense narrative experiences I've had on mobile. It captures the tension of a police procedural perfectly. You aren't just clicking through dialogue; you're playing a mental game of chess. The game forces you into uncomfortable corners—do you stick to the rules and potentially let a bomb go off, or do you use 'enhanced' techniques and lose your soul?
The monochrome, sketch-like art style adds a heavy layer of atmosphere that fits the dark themes of the story. It’s challenging, sometimes frustratingly so, but when you finally break a suspect and they confess, the payoff is immense. This is a must-play for fans of 'Papers, Please' or 'This Is the Police.'
Now this is more like it. It reminds me of the old-school police procedurals. The black-and-white art style is striking and fits the noir tone perfectly. It’s not just about clicking the 'right' answer; you have to read the suspect's heart rate and stress levels. It’s a thinking man’s game.
My only gripe is the management layer. The team management feels a bit tacked on compared to the actual interrogation scenes. Some of the dialogue can feel a bit scripted, and failing a run can be frustratingly final. Still, for a 40-year-old who misses games with real writing, this is a solid recommendation. It’s mature and doesn't treat you like an idiot.
Performance: Perfect performance; static assets ensure high stability.

GAMEPLAY
In the pursuit of terrorist organization The Liberation Front, you have to coordinate your team to gather information, manage your limited budget and deal with the press hot on your heels for a good story. But that is only half of it:
Your main task as lead investigator is interrogating suspects. Understanding their backgrounds, and thus their motivations, is key in choosing whether intimidation, guile or empathy is the right approach. There is no universal solution – but the clock is ticking relentlessly.
As you’re closing in on the true culprits and your suspects are getting more resistant, the interrogations become increasingly difficult. Uncover the truth through complex conversations, psychological manipulation and other techniques.
The Liberation Front will not be easily dismantled.
THE GAME'S GOAL
Interrogation: Deceived is a narratively immersive convo-puzzle game that challenges common preconceptions about highly relevant contemporary subjects like terrorism, police brutality and the power imbalances between citizens, the state and large corporations. The game follows in the footsteps of games like "This War of Mine", "Papers Please", "This is the Police" and "Orwell" in that it tries to raise important moral, ideological and practical questions in the minds of the players.

In Interrogation: Deceived, you play as a detective tasked with dismantling a radical group known as 'The Liberation.' The game is a unique conversational puzzler where you must manage your team, stay within the law (or not), and outsmart suspects in the interrogation room. Every word matters. You’ll need to study suspect profiles, use psychological tactics, and make tough ethical decisions that affect the city's future.
Psychologically deep interrogation mechanics.
Branching narrative with impactful choices.
Gritty noir art style and atmospheric soundtrack.
Resource management and team building.
Multiple endings based on your morality.
Don't always start with intimidation. Some suspects respond better to a 'Good Cop' approach. Use the 'Observe' feature to look for physical cues like sweating or stuttering—these indicate when a suspect is lying. If they become too agitated, they may shut down completely, so keep an eye on their heart rate.
Between interrogations, you must manage your budget and public reputation. You can upgrade your interrogation room or hire specialists to help analyze evidence. Your choices during dialogue will ripple throughout the story, leading to multiple different endings.
Yes, if you fail to stop 'The Liberation' or lose public trust, you can reach a 'Game Over' state.
