I Love Hue Too in IOS

A mind-bending colour journey

88/100

I Love Hue Too is a masterful sequel that elevates the simple concept of color arrangement into a spiritual, psychedelic experience. While the first game was about harmony and calm, 'Too' introduces geometric complexity and logic that forces you to look at color relationships in a much more analytical way. The addition of varied tile shapes like triangles and hexagons adds a layer of spatial reasoning that was missing from the original square grids.

It is rare to find a game that is simultaneously taxing on the brain and incredibly soothing to the soul. The 'black hole' levels and the shifting symmetry challenges provide a perfect curve of difficulty. It’s not just a game; it’s a meditative exercise in perception. For anyone who finds beauty in gradients and order, this is an essential download that turns your screen into a kaleidoscope of logic.

Dinsun Review

Dinsun here. I don't usually go for 'zen' games, but I Love Hue Too is genuinely impressive. It’s a puzzle game that doesn't rely on logic in the traditional sense, but on your eye's ability to perceive subtle shifts in value and saturation. It’s conservative in its lack of 'game-y' mechanics—there are no timers, no enemies, no stress. Just you and the spectrum.

The sequel adds more complex geometry which actually makes the puzzles harder to solve than the original. It’s a meditative experience that still manages to be challenging. For a 40-year-old gamer, it’s a perfect 'wind-down' game. It’s polished, it’s beautiful, and it respects your intelligence by offering genuinely difficult late-game mosaics. It knows exactly what it is and does it perfectly.
