Dinsun Review

The tech here is genuinely cool. Seeing a high-fidelity dragon perched on your actual coffee table is a trip, and they’ve nailed the sound design—the roars feel authentic to the show. It’s a great piece of marketing for the HBO series. However, once you get past the 'wow' factor of the AR, there isn’t much to do. It’s essentially a high-budget Tamagotchi.

You feed it, you pet it, you wait. The progression is slow, and there isn't enough variety in the interactions to justify a 40-year-old checking his phone four times a day to 'bond' with a digital lizard. The Valyrian voice commands are a nice touch for the hardcore fans, but for a general gamer, it feels like a very polished toy rather than a game. I expect more from a 'Game of Thrones' property than just a virtual pet.
