Goritaire is a weird, wonderful, and slightly stressful card game. Arc System Works has a knack for taking simple concepts and giving them a bizarre, high-concept twist (much like they did with Shephy). The gameplay loop is tight: you want more gorillas, but more gorillas mean more mouths to feed.
The art style is delightfully weird, and the existential questions about where gorillas come from set a tone that is equal parts funny and unsettling. It’s a very difficult game to master, which makes the eventual victory of getting seven gorillas to the ground feel like a massive achievement. If you like 'weird' indie card games, this is an absolute gem.
