I’ve played Sudoku for twenty years, mostly in newspapers or cheap apps. Most digital versions are garbage—they focus on flashy effects rather than the UI. Gage gets it. He understood that the worst part of Sudoku is the manual labor of pencil marks. Good Sudoku automates the drudgery without solving the puzzle for you. It’s an expert's tool.
What really impresses me—and I don't say this often—is the tutorial system. It taught me techniques I’d been using instinctively but couldn't name. It treats the player with respect. If you’re conservative like me and hate 'gamified' puzzles with lives and gems, this is the antidote. It’s just the game, perfected. It’s nearly a 90, but let's be honest: it’s still Sudoku. It won't change your life, but it will change how you spend your Sunday mornings.
