If you've played any variation of hill climbing over the past decade, you know exactly what you're getting into here. Drive 2 Climb focuses heavily on the balance between torque and momentum, which feels satisfyingly heavy. You can't just floor the gas pedal; you have to treat the terrain like a puzzle, modulating your speed to avoid rolling over. That part of the engine is well-calibrated. However, it does absolutely nothing to evolve the genre. The progression tracks follow the standard upgrade path of tires, engines, and suspension with zero surprises. It's solid execution of a tired formula.
