Dino.io 3D is a charming 'eat-to-grow' game that fits perfectly in the .io subgenre. You start as a hatchling and evolve through different prehistoric species by consuming environmental objects and smaller players. The 3D environments are surprisingly detailed for a casual game, providing plenty of verticality to hide from larger predators.

The controls are buttery smooth, but the expert strategy lies in the 'Dash' mechanic—knowing when to use your stamina to chase or escape. It lacks a deep progression system, but for 10-minute bursts of 'survival of the fittest' fun, it’s one of the more polished dino-sims available.

Dinsun here. I’ve seen some lazy games in my time, but Dino.io 3D is a special kind of offensive. It’s a textbook example of an asset flip—cheap models, basic animations, and a gameplay loop that is thinner than the paper the design was likely never written on. You move, you eat, you watch an ad. You die, you watch an ad. You win, you watch an ad.

The controls are floaty and imprecise, making 'combat' feel like a game of bumper cars with high latency. There is no strategy here, just a mindless time-sink designed to harvest ad revenue from unsuspecting children or bored commuters. In my day, we expected games to have a hook; here, the only hook is the 'Close' button on the interstitial advertisements.
