Detectives United 8 caters squarely to the established hidden object crowd with decent mini-game logic puzzles, but shows clear signs of quality degradation. Longtime fans will immediately spot awkward character redesigns and jarring AI-generated voice lines that sound stiff and lifeless.

Add in persistent bugs like map UI elements disappearing after in-app purchases, and it becomes hard to justify paying for what used to be a reliable formula. It passes the time if you love finding hidden items, but it's a step back for the franchise.
