Alien chords are falling. They wear Roman numerals instead of names, and the only way to stop them is to know what those numerals mean.

Chord Destroyer takes the part of music theory everyone skips, diatonic harmony, and turns it into an arcade game you can actually finish. Fly the guitar, read the numeral, fire the right notes.

HOW IT PLAYS

A chord descends wearing a numeral: IV, vi, ii. You work out what that is in the current key and fire it before it crosses the danger line. In the key of D, vi is B minor. In the key of A, it's F# minor. The numeral means the same thing in every key, and once that clicks, it never stops being useful.

THREE WAYS TO ANSWER

• Multiple choice. Four chords, one right. Start here.

• Name the notes. Spell the chord out: root, third, fifth.

• Fretboard. Build it on the neck, on six real strings.

Pick your input every time you launch a level, so the same key can be a warm-up or a proper test.

41 LEVELS

Twelve major keys, then twelve minor keys, then seventh chords. A key-shifting boss waits after every third key. THE OSCILLATOR swaps the key underneath you every few seconds, and THE MODULATOR is the one at the end. 24 keys, 168 chords, one guitar.

Clear it once and the campaign resets for a second pass while every level you have beaten stays unlocked, so you can keep running it without losing what you earned.

PRACTICE

Any key, any chord type, no progress saved and nothing on the line. Good for the ten minutes before a lesson.

WHAT'S NOT IN IT

• No ads

• No in-app purchases

• No accounts and no sign-in

• No networking code of any kind. The app cannot go online, by construction

• No analytics, no tracking, and no data collection of any kind

It runs entirely on your device. Your progress is yours and it stays there.

Built for guitarists, students and teachers, and for anyone who has ever nodded along to "just play the four chord" without being sure which one that was.
