Great Game that I highly recommend!
Wed Mar 26 2025 LUDA.OThis game is great and is challenging but I’ve noticed on the candidate level when I put certain pieces in the same area of the chess board the CPU responds the same way over and over also I was about to get a stalemate and for about four days now the CPU still hasn’t made its last move I think it’s still trying to process the fact that it’s not going to win? I’m not sure. Also there have been some times where I have the ability to move my queen and moving my queen would not put myself in check but the app won’t let me move my queen and when I tap on my queen the app thinks I’m tapping the opponents queen that is in the same area it’s started in the beginning of the match But overall I highly recommend this app for offline chess players who seek a great challenge!
I can’t believe I’m the only person saying this
Fri Jan 14 2022 Sweet CaitI’m a beginner at chess and I was shocked to see how simple it is the problem is but like any other chess game app where it’s so obvious that the person you’re playing against is a bot. The issue that during the beginning you’re rightfully given the option to move and beat the “player” but then towards the end when I’m literally about to win I’m not able to. All can do is just move my checks around meanwhile this bot player can do whatever it wants and if that’s not happening time runs out and you get a pop up talking about how interesting the game was and the choice to start over which is why this isn’t for me. I’m not sure if these other reviews are fake and I wouldn’t be surprised if they all are they are mentioning the screwed “difficulty” like it’s a good thing when there’s a difference between making the game slightly difficult so you would wanna keep playing and just plain cheating the players, players should be allowed to win so don’t bother playing this on your phone where you will more than likely be competing with a robot.
Great App for Improving your Chess Skills!
Fri Jul 04 2025 JoegVoll usaIt’s the best, simple & straight forward Chess app I’ve used. I’ve been using it for over 2 years and I’ve tried several VS CPU Chess Apps but nothing has come close to replacing it. From Beginner to Master, and everyone in between, the levels cover them all. The first 3 levels are good for newcomers, I win about 70-75% of Level 4 games, but I’ve not been able to win at level 5. That’s my goal, but it’s a bit too difficult for my current abilities and if I’m being honest, I really don’t think I’ll ever be able to win a level 5 game. In over 400 attempts, it’s beat me with relative ease, in all but 2 of those attempts. So it’ll probably be a life long challenge.
I highly recommend this app for all skill levels to use for practice.
Perfect for all levels
Thu Jun 20 2024 Roblox Veteran #1From beginner all the way to professional levels, chess club’s computer knows exactly how challenging the match should be for each player and thier level. There is also an option to play with 2 people on one device and it flips the screeen so you don’t have to turn to phone or move around in any way other than moving the chess pieces. Also when you click a chess peice, it lets you know where it’s possible to move the piece if t is possible and when you’re in check it lets you know. Overall, chess club is a great option for people who want to play chess with each other, on the go, or even if you simply don’t have a chess board with you!!😁
Great game but needs a way to clear puzzle history
Fri Oct 18 2024 Steve_6037Awesome chess engine, very hard if not impossible to beat (at least for me) in higher levels without the undo feature. A great learning tool to sharpen one’s chess skills.
Love your fix/solution to watch an ad in order to undo a move resulting in a loss or draw as opposed to slamming the door and ending the game with no option to try again. That seems like a good compromise to facilitate learning as well as allowing a redo for those times when playing tired and making mistakes.
I have solved all the puzzles now and would appreciate it if you would provide a way to clear that history so I could start over, or provide more puzzles or both. If that feature was there, I would have given the 5th star in my rating!

Ads are getting aggressive
Tue Nov 19 2024 AimwiseI first started playing this, I was very happy with it. Even with ads. Even told people about it. But those same people I talked to have the same concerns with the aggression of the ads taking over the phone and directing to either App Store or a browser with a link. Both of which I have to close the chess app and browser to get rid of ad instead of “x”-ing out and going back to the game. It’s acting like a virus right before it crashes your system. I am on the hunt for a less spammy chess platform unless it’s toned down. Ad blockers don’t work all the time, especially with gambling ads. Sad
The difficulty level increases a lot from one level to the next
Tue Dec 03 2024 AahhahhhahahI’m a chess beginner and I’m finding almost impossible to advance from easy to middle level. There is a big gap in the levels’ difficult because I win every single easy game but I lose every single middle game which makes no sense. I wish there was a intermediate level between those so it would make it easier to advance. I lost 26 times the middle level so yes, I tried a lot and it always ended up in losts not even in draws. Also the “Learn Chess” is too simple and just teach the basics of chess not really teaching game strategies to make you a better player. If you are already a intermediate or advanced chess player, I would recommend you this game, however, if you a beginner like me, is not a big deal to people that still learning.
Occasional Piece Malfunction
Fri Nov 21 2025 ndjehsvzhThere is an occasional problem that makes one or two of your pieces unable to be moved for an entire match. When you try to select one of these pieces it flashes red like you are trying to select a piece that cannot be moved at that time or as if you are trying to select one of your opponent’s pieces, at the same time the location on the exact opposite of the board flashes red as well. Other than that I think it would be nice to have a small, discreet match move-counter somewhere on the screen, where “1” would remain until the white set makes its second move, and so on, though I could understand that seeming distracting and frivolous. Other than that I think this is a good game for what it is.
