Chariot Rivals takes an underutilized setting—ancient Roman chariot racing—and turns it into a generic mobile combat racer. The driving physics feel floaty, lacking any genuine sense of weight or momentum that horse-drawn vehicles should possess. Drifting around arena turns feels artificial, and the weapon power-ups are standard fare seen in dozens of mobile racers over the last decade.
What truly ruins the experience is the blatant rubber-banding AI. No matter how cleanly you execute turns or upgrade your chariot, computer opponents magically catch up on straightaways to force artificial tension. Add in aggressive upgrade timers and pushy microtransactions, and it becomes hard to recommend to anyone looking for a skill-based racing experience.
