The game is packed with personality, from the 'punny' names of enemies to the various outfits you can equip your pig with. What makes it special is the emergent gameplay—weapons, spells, and environmental hazards interact in unexpected ways. It’s a 'just one more run' kind of game that offers deep replayability through multiple characters and game modes like the intense 'Flame Escape.'

Dinsun here. Card Hog is a pleasant surprise. On the surface, it looks like a silly game about pigs, but the underlying mechanics are solid. It belongs to that specific sub-genre of 'moving a card on a grid' roguelikes, and it does it better than most. Each move is a tactical choice: do you go for the gold, or do you take out that enemy before it gains power? It’s simple to pick up but has enough variety to keep things interesting.

I like that it doesn't take itself too seriously, yet it still provides a legitimate challenge. The different characters actually change how you play, which is more than I can say for many high-budget titles. It's a bit grindy if you want to unlock everything, but the gameplay loop is satisfying enough that I didn't mind. It's an honest game with no predatory nonsense, and that's worth something in my book.
