Peak
Sat Aug 30 2025 UsernameN0tTakenBest turn based game on mobile i’ve ever played. Rewards are very generous and it’s easy to level up and play. Very nice starter VoidPet selection at the beginning, ended up picking Sad and it’s a very goated VoidPet for team play. I run Sad for the OP isolate debuff that deals CRACKED damage thanks to Sad’s nice base ability that makes it deal increased damage based on the amount of debuffs applied and lowers defensive stats, Salty as my tank for debuff bleed stacks and a tanky shield buff that deals GREAT damage to everything when broken, Envy for buff removal utility and even more debuff stacks with ShadowFlame, and lastly Joy for the heals and increased fire damage boosts which pairs great with Envy’s ShadowFlame. these pets aren’t even legendary nor Epic either, they’re all literally Rares and you’re pretty much guaranteed to get them thanks to the amount of eggs you receive as soon as you start playing the game. sure there’s a better setup out there but so far, I think I may end up taking this team to endgame, they just work so well with each other and it’s a pretty strong team for a small bunch of Rare VoidPets you literally get handed to you off rip. W Game!
Constant game issues
Thu Jul 10 2025 Nio___________Game makes no sense my anger and envy have no tank bypassing abilities but for some random reason the ones I’m fighting do and that’s just one example of it. How about we stay consistent on what the Voidpets are able to do instead of magically making the opposing ones do the same ability but with stronger effects. I’ve been having fun with the game but these small things are just ruining it for me. Also there’s practically no chance for ftp players to get the higher form Voidpets. Literally get one egg every few days with a 0.5% chance of getting it??? Or open 300 eggs when you get one every 2 or 3 days during a 30~ day event. Also do you need one specific pet leveled up to beat this one level well you’re going to have to wait 2 days to get the resources for that! And if that’s still not enough to beat it so you gotta level up another one wait another 2 days!!! Oh you finally beat the level? Well this next stage is going to need these Voidpet type advantages or else you just can’t win! Since all the opponent Voidpets have insane scaling! The enemy tanks somehow have insane hp defense and damage and the dealers do even more damage and are still somehow tanky while your dealers deal less damage while somehow getting one tapped by everything even if you fully build them!!! Aw are you missing a Voidpet that fulfills a specific element and role? Toooo baaad you’re just going to have to get lucky using the terrible odds involved with the eggs!!!
Fun Idea, Too Expensive
Sun Aug 31 2025 GreyHam18When you start the game, you progress quickly. The units are all based around various emotions, and the designs are often cute and unique. Gameplay itself is simple - set up a team of 4 and choose who to attack, with type advantages available. There is a set of main levels, training, a daily boss, and sometimes events. The core gameplay revolves around managing each of these, and is genuinely engaging. Building teams also is fun.
Unfortunately, the level 60-70 mark (for pets, not dungeon levels), you'll begin to hit a wall. Your options are either wait multiple days to "ascend" and then level up pets, one at a time, until you can continue progressing, or pay pretty high prices for extremely low odds at hitting a valuable unit or item. These walls become more frequent and more extreme as you progress farther into the game.
There are events and dailies, but rewards for both are scarce, and again, the odds of rolling anything helpful from either set of loot are exceedingly low. So while the game is *technically* free to play, if you want to progress at a faster rate than "a small chunk of levels every week or few" it's expensive, and not really worth it. It seems to me that the devs are aware that their players are complaining about the atrocious drop rates, but have no intention of improving the game for free players.
Great game with a slow pace
Sat Aug 30 2025 hankgamesVoidpet Dungeon has gotten me to play every day for the past 2 months and I don’t really plan on stopping that habit. It’s a nice casual game to play that doesn’t take a lot of brain power until you reach a wall that takes a few days to overcome, which is great. I like that they gave emotions life and personality as the voidpets. The dialogue in the battles is a little corny but what dialogue isn’t in a mobile game. My only complaint would be that you really only have one thing to do a day once you’ve done your daily missions and battle pass, maybe an option to add friends and have clans would be cool, though that’s a very generic thing for games to have. I also love and hate the pricing for in game purchases - I love that they are high because it discourages me from purchasing anything, knowing that it probably wouldn’t be worth it to spend $15 for a single astral egg- of which I’ve opened 12 and had no luck. On the other hand I hate the pricing because it’s too high a price for me to pay for things that I will get for free with patience. In all, great game, and i’m happy to be a part of its journey and evolution. Maybe I’ll even get a legendary pet for spreading the good word ;).
Quality of Life I Beg
Tue Sep 02 2025 TacoxTaco=shellThe game is amazing but if you could add a button the unequips all items that’d be amazing it just takes so long to change up builds when you’re stuck on a level and there’s nothing you can really do except try different build combos because getting xp is hard once you’ve completed all the daily stuff then you have to wait like 12 hours which means I gotta put my phone down and do stuff instead of spending more time on the game please give me a better way to get xp in addition to an unequipt all items button it doesn’t even have to be on the Voidpet even if it just inequipts everything that would be so useful. On that note I also think when putting items on a void pet if it told me what pet I was taking it off of that’d be cool to cause I find myself having to go back to check who I’m taking stuff from and they look so similar early game that I spend so long going back and forth for each item.
Cool Freaking Game
Wed Aug 27 2025 Coconuts090I stumbled across this game almost by accident, and it’s quickly become one of those rare gems that feels like it was built with actual love for gameplay instead of marketing gimmicks. No flashing ads, no endless push for in-app purchases, just pure mechanics that reward skill and strategy. The design is refreshingly clean, the pacing hits that perfect balance between challenge and progress, and every run feels different enough to keep me hooked. The best part is how it doesn’t lean on flashy colors or dopamine tricks—it just trusts that good gameplay can stand on its own, and it absolutely does. The only thing that feels missing is the ability to reset your characters. Sometimes you just want to start fresh, experiment with different builds, or approach the game from a new angle without being locked into past choices. If that feature ever gets added, this would easily rank as one of the most complete and satisfying games I’ve played in years.
A game with personality (no pun intended)
Sun Feb 09 2025 Beeco97It titles itself as a monster collection game and plays similar to games like Dislyte where you have a team with different roles and abilities, and although the main focus is the gameplay there is a decently well fleshed out story going on the entire time you work your way through floors. It’s a good balance of strategy, upgrades, and team customization AND MOST IMPORTANTLY I see a lot of people talking about hitting a paywall. While you’re not just going to be able to progress forever without waiting a bit to collect time based rewards, you shouldn’t need to spend anything to beat any of the floors or bosses. Just pay attention to what their abilities are and what creatures you have that may counter their typing and those abilities, then give them the right items and level them up enough to put into your team and you’ll win those “unbeatable” fights
Great Game!! But..
Tue Jul 22 2025 BarberB119Great Time-Killer but Progression Hits a Wall
I’ve been playing this game for a while now, and I can honestly say it’s a fun and addictive time-killer. The art style is charming, the gameplay loop is solid, and it does a great job of keeping you entertained in short bursts or long sessions.
But here’s the issue: progression becomes painfully difficult after a certain point, and the lack of resources really starts to choke the fun out of the experience. You hit a wall fast if you don’t spend money or have insane patience. Earning enough resources to level up your pets or advance further becomes a slow crawl. It starts feeling more frustrating than fun especially when purchasing the battle pass that only gives you 4-5 rewards and the rewards seem a little stingy.
One major feature that the game is missing is a reset or refund option for pets. If you invest heavily into a pet early on, only to find out it’s not viable long-term, you’re stuck. There should absolutely be a way to recover the resources you’ve spent—whether through a full refund or even a partial return. Without that you’re essentially punished for experimenting.
In summary: fun game, great for passing time, but it’s held back by an imbalanced progression system and the lack of a much-needed reset/refund feature. Fix that, and it’d go from decent to top-tier.
Rating: 3.5 to 4. Loads of potential, just needs better support for the grind. Can’t wait to see what you do in the future.
AWSOME GAME!
Tue Aug 05 2025 AsapLordiThis game is great in every aspect. My wife plays it with me and I told her to download it. Only thing is it’s so hard to get legendary equips and pets. 300 eggs is a lot just to get 1 legendary. Meanwhile my wife got 4 legendarys from 3 regular eggs and astral egg. Other than the rates to get good pets and equips I love this game it’s really perfectly balanced and it’s so fun to play. I love the waiting period to get supply’s because it’s simple and easy. But PLEASE ADD MORE EVENTS!!! I joined the game last minute for the list and I missed the greed event. I would like to have other things to do rather than losing. Or add a tower where you have to beat levels to progress in order to get eggs, mats, etc. something else but this game is an easy 10/10 for me. Thank you for a game me and my wife can finally enjoy together. Oh and add arena so I can beat her in matches lol.
fun game! crazy prices :(
Mon Aug 04 2025 drillworksi've had a lot of fun with voidpet dungeon so far! the pets and characters are charming, and most of the battles aren't too rough but are engaging. however, several battles do hit like a brick wall -- regardless of roster changes, or the levels/upgrades that are possible without progressing further (including training and daily gifts), some stages feel like they can only be passed by waiting several hours or paying far too much money. i understand the type of game and the business model behind it, and would normally be happy to pay a couple of dollars to progress faster instead of waiting a bit. however, the "micro" transaction costs are frankly insane as they outpace many full-length paid games on the market. freemium games are common for mobile, and that's fine, but it really negatively affects a game when progression is placed on a higher shelf with equally steep financial means to reach it. that said, i do appreciate that i haven't seen any ads, and so if the higher costs of this game are due to that, then i'm fine with waiting longer to progress and only playing once or twice a day.
with some progression changes, maybe some added player foresight into upcoming levels, and more reasonable pricing, the game could be improved. it would be easier to play more often, which i personally would find as a motivator to spend a bit.
