Great game, mobile port needs improvement
Sat Apr 05 2025 NottherealCookie9I have played The Stanley Parable since I was younger, it was one of the most best worst games I’ve ever played, but I feel as if this mobile port is missing a few things. For example, if you jump down the catwalk (iykyk) it doesn’t seem to have that narrator line saying “You guys were bragging about how you found this glitch on (social media app), yes good job” or something like that. You guys seem to deliberately remove it as the caption plays for it for a split second. Why? Can you not say (social media blue bird app) or be rude on a mobile game? Another problem, you can’t climb chairs. I don’t know if this is actually a bug or this “bug” is just exclusive to the free trial of The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe. It would really be of upmost importance if you to clarify on that. And, thank you. Not just for your service, but for taking the time to read my review. Also, that fee I have to pay is a real bummer. Please remove it and I will improve my review to 5 stars. Unless it’s new content?
A mixbag that needs fixes.
Mon Feb 10 2025 Sergio&Let’s be honest, I am in love with this port but there are glaring issues or things that I want in the future update. Here’s a couple of graphical and visual bugs I found: the bucket ending after unplugging the phone has a problem with the scroll text of the credits, let’s say that they stop in one point or get stuck while the normal ending’s scroll text ends abruptly; when you walk forward and back from the boss’s office door and finally arrived at the escape pod with the bucket there’s a graphical bug that flickers with black boxes on the ground - I have the photo of it but I can’t put in this review. Lastly and this is a preference that I wish for a future update: make an option to choose from performance mode or graphic mode, this means less anti-aliasing and better texture quality across the board; let’s be honest, our phones can handle better graphics, I know that it is possible to make this port look better! Now, I hope this helps with the feedback. Please don’t take it personally, I just want this app to be loved and appreciated more. Thank you and have a gorgeous day.
One of my all time favorites… In mobile form!
Tue Oct 08 2024 VerbigerateFYI: This game has a free trial where you can play a couple endings before you have to face a $15 paywall (or you can pay right away, but then how will you experience that sweet, sweet free-trial-ending new content?). But that’s cheaper than what I spent to get the game on Steam, and definitely cheaper than what my BF spent to order me the Collector’s Edition after a particularly bad day…
I’m definitely the target demographic for this game, but I highly recommend playing it for yourself! You can now even get a taste of the actual game itself to decide if it’s right for you first (though the Demo for the 2013 edition has its own little spark too). I completed the entire game on PC besides the 10 year achievement (obviously), and from what I’ve played on this port so far, it seems to hold up. If you want to have your own Stanley Parable on the phone you’re carrying around all the time anyways, this is a great option.
Don’t know how I’m gonna spend another Tuesday on this game, though…
From the ashes of depravity rises the pheonix of quality.
Mon Oct 07 2024 GrubladyHow else to describe The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe? Such a revolutionary step forward in the lineage of one of the most beloved video game properties of all time! The additions and changes made to this expansion will surely resonate in the annals of the history of all media ever made. It is perhaps true to say that no mistakes are forever etched in stone for the stone into which The Stanley Parable was carved has itself been transmuted offering a message of hope to those who have ever erred in their judgment. You are not beyond redemption. You may change, and you may become more, so much more than you were before. If there is any message to be taken from The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe, it is this… what a fortune, a privilege, a joy it is to have had such an experience. It leaves me hopeful that as a community - as a world, there is time for us to become our greatest selves, as great as we ever could dream of in our wildest, most ambitious visions for a brighter future.
A regrettable decision
Fri Oct 11 2024 KeizokaiI purchased the Stanley parable last year on Nintendo switch only to now realize this year they’ve released the game again on mobile devices and honestly if it weren’t for the fact that this game had a free trial and then you have to pay $15 just to get the full game I would’ve stuck with this instead of getting to switch version. Then again, if people don’t have the money to pay for the full version on iOS or even want to pay for the full version, then you can just get the version on switch for a thrilling alternative that still gives you the full game.. in the end it’s your decision, not mine but for now I got to live with the fact that now I can get the standing parable twice even when I was considering getting it again for Playstation
Note: you can also play a version of the Stanley parable off of rec room. Be advised it is a cheap copy and does not have any ultra deluxe content.
So expensive but really good
Tue Oct 15 2024 I am the mastablastaDevs and every one else read the hole thing please So I think that this is the best game ever it “ends” to soon for me there should be more endings not more platforms for the game to be available it should NOT be 15 bucks on mobile I don’t think there are much mobile game arhat are worth 15 bucks really anyone reading this should just get the full game on console for sure not mobile but whatever if you are a walking money bag then you need to get this game on mobile and console and pc really just get this game anywhere it is a really really really really really really really really… Good game so I would love to get this on mobile but for the money I got this game is not worth it so um I don’t really know what else to say please try this game on mobile for as long as you can and if you can buy it and play it on console and devs maybe if it is possible put this on Apple Arcade or make it less money please
Love the game, however…
Thu Jan 01 2026 Jake M RogersI love the Stanley parable (I am a huge fan, believe me) but there is one, rather oppressing problem that consists within my gameplay. Every time I get 2 endings it soft locks the game until I pay for the ultra deluxe. Now normally I just uninstall and then reinstall which works but it is starting to get annoying. My suggestion is instead of the paywall there is 2 doors, the door on the left will have you pay for ultra deluxe while the door on the right lets you continue to use the free version while the narrator reminds you how cheap you are and does everything to try and stop you from going on the door on the right, but ultimately he can’t and when you boot up the game next time, it will be normal except the new content door is there, attempting to enter it will require you to pay. Passing the door will make the narrator make a snarky comment on how cheap you are.
Very well done port!
Sun Oct 13 2024 afroscalI’m a long time fan and it’s nice to have another way to play the game. The new control scheme makes it feel like an old pre rendered PC game like Myst which is cool. Besides the cool factor, the controls in vertical mode are good for motion sickness. I’ve always wanted my girlfriend to play the game but she gets too sick with stick/mouse looking so the new scheme is very much appreciated. The only issue I have is that I wish the scheme could be enabled in landscape mode. Also it’d be neat to have a version of the Myst controls in the pc version (auto turning, always return viewpoint after letting go of stick etc). Other than that, small strafe buttons? Maybe I’m just too used to conventional fps controls but I do miss them especially in open areas. Great work on the port, I hope a new audience gets to love this game the way I do!
