Great, but...
Mon May 04 2015 Shorty-short shortsThis game is really fun, the story mode is pretty much perfect. The only problems are with hoard mode. The idea is great and it is really fun, except it is too hard. I had the game before the update where the sentry guns would spawn, and it was a lot better than the latter. The bosses and sentrys were a good addition but the main reason why the new update is so hard is because absolutely NOTHING spawns for you to pick up. At all. The main reason this game is so good is because of its creative use of the pickups (in my opinion). This makes the achievement to get to round 15 almost impossible. My highest round is 7. The level of difficulty increase in the rounds would be perfect IF the pickup crates spawned. Besides that it is perfect. 2-Player mode is great as well. But its pretty much useless unless you have an ipad. With phones the screens just get so small. I think it would be great if you could play over wifi or internet :).⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I understand that you're trying to make the game better for the greater good, but please don't ever try anything that crazy. I'm glad that you were final able to give to the others the original. I hope everyone is ok for now, but that doesn't mean that you can't update your game. You could add new types of weapons, or online matches with other random people, or even a new game mode. But if everybody is so happy with what you made, don't start adding all these useless ideas and details that you may not even like as much as the consumers do. So all this, and all I wanted to say was that thank you, for giving me something more than just a game, a gift is a better term. And last of all, thank you to listening to people, something many companies lack.
Achievement broken
Sun Feb 18 2024 JJCUBERThe sharpshooter achievement is broken. I have run through the first chapter many times with just the starting pistol and made sure to hit basically all of my shots, yet somehow my accuracy is not above the 75% threshold. I’ve looked it up, and this seemed to have also been an issue on some other port of the game many years ago.
I still gave this a 5/5 though, since this game was my childhood, and it’s still great. (However, I feel like endless/horde mode is worse now. I don’t recall it constantly spawning bosses [especially right on top of you!] from other chapters or having fixed spots for the item crates. I kind of wish this was an option to toggle off, i.e. to go back to “classic” mode.)

Fri Jul 01 2016 It is chewy!!!!!?!?!?!?This game is totally worth it!!!! It is probably my favorite Halfbrick Studios game! But I have a few requests. But, before I start, I truly love all of your games you make, Halfbrick! First of all, and I think all of the players want, are more levels! Your levels are already awesome in there own, funny Barry way. But, I only got this game yesterday, and I am already in the 8th chapter. And, that's why you added the waves game mode. BRILLIANT!!!! I love the difficulty, and that brings me to my next request: add a difficulty choice. It (honestly) was a little to easy for me. Now, my favorite request, is MORE power ups and weapons! It would be so cool if you could add rides, too! Well, thx so much for reading, and I look forward for future updates, and stay cool, Halfbrick!
ITS FINALLY BACK BABY
Tue Aug 22 2023 Tha sandwichI played through this game literally dozens I would even say close to a hundred times when I was younger and about three months ago I searched for about an hour in my purchased games and tried to reinstall it but it was incompatible. 2:16am I’m restless, searching for something fun to play and I decide on maybe some nostalgia so I go to the plays from the past section. I see “Age of Zombies” and I immediately think “there’s no [explitive] way it has to be a rip off”. BUT HERE IT IS, WERE BACK BABY IN FULL FORCE IS ZOMBIE KILLING TIME. Don’t listen to any negative comments about this game, it’s a BLAST both nostalgically and the explosives. I’m so glad to see the game back and I can’t wait to support it in full force.
Just a little tweak I kinda wanted fixed and a idea added possibly
Wed Jul 19 2023 rx6enCan you guys by any chance make it so the screen can flip both sides of the phone horizontally instead of one side, also can co op be online multiplayer instead of just local for both modes and up to 4 players I think that be fun just an idea. I’m sure that has been a request for a while and would take time to make or its just not really something that isn’t in the works at all but all good this game brought back childhood memories thank you for this amazing game ! ❤️
It was fun to play this game again but I’m not paying a monthly subscription
Tue Aug 06 2024 Yea it's a gamerI had this game before it was taken down and I was excited to see it on the App Store again it even saved my 30/33 achievements from the past. But then I clicked on the game and found out I only get an hour of gameplay before the company wants me to pay a monthly subscription to be allowed to play the game. I had just enough time to get the untouchable achievement making 31/33 achievements completed but now I can’t play the game anymore. Honestly I won’t play the other games and I’m not paying $3.33 or $4.99 every month to play the one game. If I could make a one time payment between $3-10 for the one game I would do that for the nostalgia of this game or even have to put up with adds. As it stands now thanks for the nostalgic blast from the past but it looks like I’ll be saying goodbye to this game again.

Mon Jun 01 2015 Swagger 11Usually I would be able to easily beat any third person shooter or top down shooter game on the App Store fairly easily but this game made me rethink my whole blitzkrieg tactics that I used as I was literally almost shoved into a corner by a massive pack of zombies.
Luckily after dying twice in the game I managed to have a very enjoyable experience as I was luring zombies into full conga lines or distracting them with my sentry guns but all and all this game will feel punishing at first however it becomes clear that staying alive is more important than killing the Adorable Face hugging zombies.
