World of Goo Remastered is a masterclass in game design. It’s rare for a puzzle game from over a decade ago to feel this fresh, but the physics and the 'squishy' feedback of the Goo Balls remain unmatched. There is a tactile joy in stretching a Goo Ball and feeling the tension in the structure before it either snaps into place or collapses under its own weight.
Beyond the puzzles, the atmosphere is what sticks with you. The music is hauntingly beautiful, and the subtle satire regarding the 'World of Goo Corporation' feels even more relevant today. It’s a perfect mobile game—easy to pick up for five minutes but deep enough to keep you occupied for hours. It’s pure, unadulterated creative problem-solving.
I’ve seen this game ten thousand times before. It’s a Candy Crush clone with a 'summer' skin. The 'gameplay' consists of swiping your finger until the game decides to let you win or asks for $1.99 to give you five more moves. It is the antithesis of good design.
There is no skill here, only a mathematical algorithm designed to keep you engaged just long enough to see an ad. It’s insulting. Why anyone would spend their finite time on this when games like Stardew Valley exist is beyond me. Absolute bottom-tier software.

The millions of Goo Balls that live in the World of Goo are curious to explore—but they don't know that they are in a game, or that they are extremely delicious. In this remastered edition of the indie classic, you must manipulate physics and structural integrity to build increasingly complex towers and bridges. With high-resolution visuals and updated cloud saving, you can experience the dark, satirical story and ingenious level design that defined a generation of indie gaming. Each level introduces new types of Goo with unique properties, from sticky green goo to combustible red globs.

Common Grey Goo is permanent once placed, but Green Goo can be detached and moved. Use this to your advantage to 'crawl' your way across gaps by recycling your building blocks.
