Retro Bowl+ is, without a doubt, one of the best sports games available on mobile devices today. It perfectly captures that nostalgic Tecmo Bowl feel while adding a layer of franchise management that keeps you coming back season after season. The touch controls for passing are remarkably intuitive; pulling back to aim a deep bomb to a star receiver feels incredibly satisfying. I've easily sunk dozens of hours just trying to rebuild bottom-tier franchises into unstoppable dynasties.

What makes the Apple Arcade version superior is having all the premium 'Unlimited' features out of the box. You can edit team names, uniforms, and dig deep into the salary cap without ever worrying about spending real money on coaching credits. It's challenging, fair, and endlessly replayable. Whether you have 5 minutes to play a single game or an hour to run an entire off-season draft, Retro Bowl+ is a flawless mobile experience.

Dinsun here. I don't give out scores this high often, but Retro Bowl+ deserves it. It reminds me of the golden age of Tecmo Bowl but with a modern management layer that actually matters. Drafting a rookie and watching them become a star is more satisfying here than in any $70 EA title.

The controls are ingenious. One finger to pass, one to dodge—it’s elegant. It doesn't waste your time with fluff. It’s just pure, unadulterated football. At 88, it’s a near-perfect mobile experience. If you have any interest in sports, you’re doing yourself a disservice by not playing this.
