May reigns reign forever
Mon Apr 29 2024 LeebeeseemeI remember reigns being one of the first and only games I bought for my old Samsung Tab 10.1, which I mostly got to digitally color on. It’s a great game and I played it for hours despite the simple concept. I even splurged and bought the one where you play a Queen. Eventually I always end up hitting a wall but by then it’s more than proven itself entertaining and worth every cent. Anyone with Apple Arcade should give this game a shot. It’s Amazing! And the music is really good!
Newest update broke quite a bit
Sun Mar 31 2024 Serrifin the SmithwyrmI quite like this game, but the newest Strombo update seems to have broken quite a few things such as:
After ship combat ends a broken Strombo quest cutscene plays (‘The Adolescent’) that overrides any rewards from every combat. This includes the unique guitar you could get and any quests involving ship combat, including the newly added one, possibly including another guitar quest.
In general a lot of events related to Strombo just don’t work, including one’s before the update, and the newly added ones that do don’t seem to actually advance his quest. A notable quest which seems broken is the ship combat related one as only the ending (the broken ‘cutscene’) plays. I tried to see if actually starting the quest would fix it, but there is no way to start it.
Due to being unable to advance Strombo’s new quest his quest events seem to just repeat, making other events less likely to trigger. This makes it incredibly time consuming to figure out what still works due to the events continually taking the place of other events, as well as the fact that Stombo’s new events can take a while to complete. Many of these events weren’t easy to find in the first place, and potentially have been completely overwritten.
Due to these problems quite a bit of the game is now blocked off, and the rest can be taxing and confusing to play. I would really like if they would fix these problems as I was exited to play this quest and it looks interesting.

Fri Dec 03 2021 iamcool 2020 fanSo the reasons I am not giving this five stars YET, are because of a few reasons, which I will list.
I am at a kind of standstill. I feel like I’m repeating many things, and not really progressing in the game. I’ve tried repeatedly got get to the Balrion things through the unknown, but after 80 CARDS I died and couldn’t get farther. The pirate fights and also the bar room seem repetitive and I almost always die at the end of the space fights. Also, many of the places I now visit have the same old gear, the same old bars (with the occasional cryptic message), and I don’t know how to get to ‘the pirate king’, or the planet Mara. Nor can I get a manager, get interviewed, or play a song to a space whale.
Maybe I’m just a really bad player.
But can someone PLESE tell me what to do?
If someone takes the time to respond, I will change my rating faster than you can say ‘this door is not like the others and doesn’t open’.
Fun at first, but...
Fri Nov 20 2020 CrimiculusI had a lot of fun with this game at first, and I've thoroughly enjoyed playing this as well as the previous Reigns games. But the longer I've played, the more bugs I tended to encounter. Not anything terribly gamebreaking, but they're still a pain to deal with. The speakers bug has been addressed already. Sometimes I'll try to visit my passengers and be told that I have none, making me go through Section B and find the cabins to access them. I also cannot get the "Win a space fight" achievement, no matter how many Pirate, Section, or Conglomerate ships I defeat. By extension, I also can never receive the supposed bounty that's on some of the Pirate ships that Sala finds. Seeing the Doctor get stuck with having Ringer's eyes is hilariously creepy.
Small Bug
Sun Mar 17 2024 Starborn11So after completing the Mara planet and getting one of the endings, it seems as though when I rebooted the game to the last planet I was on before Mara. All of the passengers I had are gone although I still get the cards as though their still on, but when the sandman asks me to review my ship, and I go to ‘passengers’. Dose tells me that we have no passengers and that we can get more, but it seems that I don’t run into any more passengers after. Please Fix :)
I am a little bit addicted to this game
Fri Aug 11 2023 Lia???? :)I have always loved reigns, but this one is by far my favorite game. The music is well done, the mechanics are new and interesting. My only gripe is that it can be easy to get lost, but then again you can always find you way again. The characters are fun and the dialogue is well written, and the art and backgrounds make me very happy. Good work all around!(this game is why I bought apple arcade :))
Best Reigns Experience Yet!
Thu Nov 19 2020 ThisBoyBAbsolutely love this game. I have beaten every reigns game before this one and I have to say this atmosphere is incredible. Beyond builds on everything that made the prior Reigns games great and adds heaps of new content and ideas into the mix. This game genuinely feels like an adventure almost akin to the GoT spin-off reigns game that came out. One of the main reasons to keep Apple Arcade and hopefully it sees a PC release like other Reigns games have.

The game is so close to being exactly what I want from a mobile game - simple mechanics, easily pausable, complex strategy. The one thing that gets me stuck - it’s a lot of world building packed into not a lot of context. The game is SO simple and the story SO deep, that it only takes a few minutes before you’re completely confused. It gets better if you stick with it, but the approach of introducing so many characters and concepts right away is extremely jarring.

Mon Nov 23 2020 DzigglI love the other reigns games and was pretty excited for this one. It’s fun, too - when it works. I’ve reached Mara five separate times (which takes a lot of work) only to be killed by speakers I don’t own. In fact, I can’t play any venueswithout being killed by an object not in my inventory. Also, battles are just never ending. I counted two separate battles where the card count was over 60, and I’m fairly certain that’s not intentional. Since there is a battle basically between each planet, this is very tedious. The game is basically unplayable - I can’t even clear game data, I tried doing it twice. Too bad.
A very interesting adventure
Mon Nov 09 2020 Sequencial1Awesome space adventure. You get to make decisions and sometimes play mini games, story and text driven but sometimes action with simple controls. Cool music! This is a fun one to play and talk about with friends or show them. The longer I have it, the more I like Apple Arcade and the more unique content I get exposed to. I’ve played loads of adventure text based games but this feels fresh.
