fun game, stop taking everything so seriously
Thu Sep 15 2022 potionsoupcoming from genshin impact, i am so tired of the constant comparison to genshin. it's an okay game packed full of incoherent lore & confusing information, and its style plucked right from Breath of the Wild. it's good, but it isn't the best, and the genshin supremacy is tired. tower of fantasy is a VERY fun game that has a compelling main story that actually makes you want to play it rather than avoid it like most, the characters ARE lovable and the connection between the MC and them feels real, and is actually shown in scenes and not left to be interpreted by fans. the open world is stunning and so much fun, the character customization is INCREDIBLE and you can keep editing after you start which i think is amazing! constant rewards, more opportunities for pulls unlike MANY gacha games out there right now, and GENUINELY FTP (free-to-play). it's the best gacha game for me right now. the character pulls are really fun too, they're all unique and you get a real chance at collecting them without needing to open your wallet. it's so much fun and i wish people would stop comparing and just enjoy the games for their individual personalities!!! please play so i can actually make friends on here :) give it a chance.
the only thing i will complain about is the crashing. every vault crashes, every event. i lose all my progress. if you want ppl to participate in these events & unlock towers, at least make them
work.
It’s a good game, but I’m not a big fan of the combat
Fri Aug 19 2022 hvbefjhvberjucheriuvhrucihFor me coming from genshin, I don’t think it is going to overtake genshin. The characters aren’t loving and as rememberable as genshin’s characters. The fighting system to me is clunky and could use some work. It just feels like I’m spamming buttons and then switching to a different weapon and doing the same thing. I don’t know what i’m doing. Ive played honkai like 2 or 3 times and I can tell you Honkai’s fighting is more smooth and satisfying than tof. If they should make changes it would probably add reactions whether weapon reactions like shatter or elemental reactions. Or maybe add combos, like there higher the your combo the higher the damage multiplier However a thing that this game does good is the gacha system and its generous free pulls. I got 3 SSR’s in 2 days. The story isn’t bad but it’s not as good as genshins. World exploration is kind of a pain especially since their aren’t enough teleport waypoints. Its also kind of annoying how all the chests are like high up and it forces you to use your jetpack and like the cooldown is like 90 something seconds. The stamina system is not bad but could be way better as climbing 2 feet uses all of your stamina. The energy system is confusing. For genshin, resin is simple, you what to spend your resin on. For tof I don’t know what to use my energy for cause they just shove everything in your face all at once.
My favorite game for the longest time.
Tue May 16 2023 aesthetickrisI’ve been playing this game for a little over a year, and I haven’t put it down since. I love how there is the option to travel between different worlds, so there is always a variety of different gameplay to choose from. I usually get bored of games quickly, but I’ll never get tired of this one. The characters are so beautiful and I’m obsessed with collecting as many as I can. My only complain would be that the gacha part of the game is a little tiring. In-game items are so expensive, especially when buying the currency used for gacha pulls. There aren’t enough collectible resources in-game either. Dark crystals used to be easier to earn, as you could easily find them in supply pods or as exploration rewards. But now, they’ve removed DCs from pods, and the number of dark crystals you get from exploring maps has significantly lessened. It used to be at least 300 DC for reaching a certain amount of exploration points in a specific area. Now it’s been lessened to around 75, and it’s harder to gain ex points, since the points are now locked behind timed puzzles that take a team to defeat. They do give you free DC with bug fixes, but only enough to buy 2 nucleus (gacha pull tickets). I love this game, but I wish they would make it a little more accessible for F2P/light spenders.
This game is…..
Sat Oct 07 2023 MuniLidThis game is honestly good BUT. Do not get this game on an IOS platform. It would be sooooo much better on PC. I say this because unless you are a masochist or a psychopath and are willing to put up with constant game crashes, the occasional T posing, lagging, and a broken leveling system all the way to level 45 ish; then just don’t bother 😅. I enjoy this game especially since it’s not a pay to play kind of game. You can do quite well in this game if you just play it and don’t spend any money on it. My absolute biggest gripe with this game is the crashing. My game crashes every single time
I play it sometimes even two or three times while I play the game. After about lvl45 ish you can’t really defeat enemies in domain 9. I find my self (currently at lvl47) constantly running from enemies because the game leveling system is very broken. Enemies go from lvl10 and lvl20 all the way to lvl45 in like 2 seconds. Pretty much as soon as you get to Domain 9 you might as well give up on fighting anything that doesn’t involve the main story. Vera and Asperia are still pretty easy since the enemies can be quite low in level and usually go down with a couple hits. Domain 9 on the other hand is a constant grind to get their health down just to survive or hopefully escape. Anyway that’s my review. Have fun and enjoy the game. Just don’t spend any money on it.
I love tower of fantasy
Sun Aug 28 2022 AcoffeemugComing from an endgame genshin player, when tower of fantasy came out I really did expect a rip off of Genshin Impact. However I was disproven. Instead I fell in love with the game and practically dropped genshin, what most players don’t understand is that there’s more than one RPG game (other than genshin). And I am forced to admit I was within that bubble before I tried out tower of fantasy. I like the combat system, I love the characters, and I am in love with the map. I enjoy the idea of an open map with its many other additions like running into people and hunting down bosses. Tower of fantasy takes a lot of teamwork and that’s what I like about it, I’ve made quite good friends so far and have enjoyed every minute of gameplay. Tower of fantasy isn’t stingy with in-game currency. There’s bugs like all games but those can be fixed with time. I am excited to see where this game goes, I’m now nearing lvl 50, and the game is well worth your while. I would recommend anyone to try it, it has not fried my phone unlike other users complaints. And it’s not that glitchy, though when all players are spamming bursts (roughly 8 players at a time) then yeah, it gets hectic. Tower of fantasy is my new favorite game, I hope others check it out because it really does take the cake for me. :)
Amazing!! Until I lost all my progress…
Sat Jan 21 2023 oofeth personI love this game. The characters, the art style, the aesthetic, everything! However, I literally just lost ALL of my progress out of nowhere just 2 minutes ago.. Be careful!
Update: I am getting this game again. I think it might’ve been because I forgot to log in. As a Genshin player, this game feels quite similar to Genshin, however it is not Genshin and I feel that it really shouldn’t be compared as such. It’s getting kind of annoying seeing everyone compare this game to it.
This is definitely meant to be more of a computer game rather than a mobile one, as the graphics are high and the world is huge, which a mobile device can only take so much of. The game does tend to crash, however it doesn’t hinder it unplayable.
This game feels genuinely free to play, and the mechanics are quite easy to learn and get the hang of, despite it being kind of clunky. It’s not hard to unlock characters and it isn’t hard to obtain gachapon currency. The characters aren’t super rememberable, however that’s not the case for me because I had a hyperfixation with this game and I know a lot of the characters by heart. It just depends on the person.
That’s pretty much all I have to say. I might add things later if my opinion changes after I’ve downloaded for a second try.
Another marvel not meant for mobile
Fri Aug 12 2022 Jftech01First of all, just like in my other reviews, I’m going to try and make this as short as possible and simply explain that this game, like many of the other recent, massive, open-world games, is absolutely brilliant, but Towers of Fantasy, nonetheless boasts its pros and cons. First of all, 12 gb of storage demand should be the first evidential warning that signifies how Tower of Fantasy will encounter lag, crashing, and loading issues, not because the game isn’t developed properly, but because mobile devices can NOT manipulate the thousands of assets in a game like this alongside explicit graphics and dialogue without hiccups because mobile devices aren’t developed like PCs where you have several intricate processors and gizmos dedicated to carrying out hundreds of thousands of different assets at once. In fact, just because Tower of Fantasy runs on mobile doesn’t mean it will always WORK on mobile and I’ve tested this game on both my iPad Pro and iPhone 13 to prove it; both of those devices have over 100 gb of free space left and after playing Tower of Fantasy on mobile and on my PC, the sheer # of crashes and failures on mobile vs the seamless gameplay on pc obviously clarified the issue. That being stated, Tower of Fantasy is absolutely impressive and definitely worth playing, but evidently, with all its demands, best suited to the realm of pc gaming rather than mobile.
(Screaming noises)
Wed Jul 26 2023 can has fries please :)Positive part of my review: the game has incredibly graphics fun characters and cools and entertaining weapons and attacks. Not to mention the breathtaking design or scenery.
Other part of my review: Here’s the gist of it, I open the game,I log in, I click to go into my backpack, the app crashes and closes. Thank you for watching my Ted talk.
No but seriously the game is fire but it’s so fire
that my iPhone X cannot handle 2 minutes of it. I’ve tried everything(obviously I have probably misses something). I deleted and redownloaded my game 4 times. I even restarted my phone and yes this may sound desperate but I deleted every other app. I have cleared the cache so many times. I have forced closed the game and heck, I’ve restarted my phone at least 12 times. I can’t even have the satisfaction of getting dailies anymore because the moment I try to click it the game cancels me and sends me back to my home page. I’m starting to think it’s personal. Please tell me what to do. I don’t even know anymore. My phone is very new and only has 3 other apps that I installed on it all under 4 gigabytes. The game used to run so well on my phone but then something changed. Anyway thank you.
Wow
Thu Dec 01 2022 SupermistertreeThis game is amazingly polished and fun right from the get-go. My only criticism is kind of a nitpicky point, but for some reason, in the English language, setting, none of the voice actors seem to be able to properly pronounce the word “simulacrum”. Fyi it’s “SIM-you-LOCK-rum”. Not “suh-LAY-ah-crumb.” Or any of the other mispronounced iterations of the word. It happens to be a word that is used a lot in this game, so it is strange how every character miss-pronounces the word in a different way. Seriously, though, other than that, I am having a blast. It is definitely a “gacha” game, in that you are constantly earning little orbs that allow you to roll for New weapons or new characters (those are the simulacra— BTW, that is the plural of simulacrum.) I have been getting all sorts of trading good”, new characters, weapons, and there is so much to do. It’s easy to get lost, just grinding or playing around in the open world and forget the main objective or the main story. That is always a good thing in an open world game. Lastly, although the games structure is completely different, I understand the comparisons to Genshin impact. In some of the core gameplay, they can feel a bit similar. Although I actually think it is more reminiscent of Honkai impact.
Bad customer service
Sat Oct 22 2022 SirKennyTripsAlotResponse to developer response:
I find it odd you haven’t responded to my in game ticket I made but your presence in the response to the review is unavoidable. I have no faith in your customer service process as I have been ignored. This led to most of my disinterest in the game. Stop spending time here and actually respond to the tickets. My ticket still hasn’t been responded to and I will update my review if they ever do make it right. Until then I’m sure this game isn’t what I originally thought it was and I don’t even enjoy it as much knowing I could spend money and have an issue that gets ignored in game support tickets but I have to write a review that gets a response
Vera update: Went to see the new outfits and after trying them on my skin color changed. Tried to change it back and it costs 100 dark crystals. Not even going to bother reaching out to customer support. I used to LOVE this game but it has eroded horribly and the updates constantly mess up stuff that costs money. My crew got deleted randomly one day not by me it just wasn’t there. I spent real money on dark crystals and used some to start a crew. I reached out to customer service and they never responded. It’s been MONTHS as it happened early on in my game and I’ve been playing since release. Now I just login and do daily’s but I can’t feel the same connection knowing issues won’t be addressed ESPECIALLY as a paying customer it’s a huge red flag. Beware
