Gotta Pay to Play
Wed Jan 08 2025 Unsatisfied in ChicagoI was enjoying the game until I realize at a certain point you need to spend actual money in order to play past certain levels. You cook specific foods in a kitchen for a certain amount of levels while being able to upgrade then you start all over in a new kitchen with new food and new upgrades. Anything you spent on the last kitchen will be gone. And the cost of upgrades increase with each new kitchen. It was fine when I was given the option to watch an ad for 1.5-5x the money I earned winning each level. I spent all the money in the first kitchen not realizing that 1. I didn’t even need all the upgrades and 2. All that money spent is lost once you start a new kitchen. Then suddenly I stopped getting the option to watch ads to increase my money. I was stuck with the little money I earned each level eventually getting to a level where for DAYS it doesn’t matter how well I played, I just didn’t make enough money to win the level. I clearly need to upgrade the cost of my food items but couldn’t earn any more money due to being stuck on this level. I refuse to pay actual money to pass ONE level. I’m sure there’s more levels that’ll force you to spend actual currency to pass. No thanks. Uninstalled.
So many issues with this app
Sun Dec 22 2024 YelseaYox1. In the support section of the app, it says that every 10 levels you complete you will receive a treasure chest full of gifts. I haven’t received any chest full of gifts and I’ve completed the prestige lap over 7 times.
2. In the chat section, the only options to continue communicating to support are: *delete my progress *restore my progress *restore my purchases. None of that is helpful bc I just wanted to chat about how to receive the prizes I’m supposed to receive.
3. In the prestige tournament there is an option to keep playing or start a new level. What does it mean to start a new level? Does that mean I get to collect the prize if I’m in first place, but don’t have to wait the extra five days to receive the prize? Or does it mean I forfeit my place in that tournament, don’t receive the prize and start another week long tournament?
- This app has the ability to be great, but the lack of communication and accurate information really limits the playability of this app. I started out really liking it, but now there’s really no way to continue to gain progress unless I’m just watching ads for coins or purchasing more coins. Waiting 7 days to receive the prize from the tournaments means that you’ll run out of coins multiple times before you receive any incentives.
Meals coin vs My coin
Tue May 13 2025 1223494984So although I think the game is pretty cool I’ve noticed that to level up material and food quality it cost an unseemly fortune. What you earn and what things cost is ridiculous. There is no balance. There is no reason for material to cost 9000 coins. Or a food quality upgrade to coast 5700 coins. Unless Their trying to have you spend all your own money to buy the coins selling the food will never make sense. Once you spend all your coins on one event you end up at the start of another having to do it again and you don’t earn coins fast enough to keep up so you end up not playing or you end up paying real money just to keep cooking faking meals. It’s repulsive. So I spend 20 grand to earn 12$ food and 8 dollar drinks or something making about 500 than after a few rounds I’m onto a whole new area whole new food and pricing and have to spend another 30 grand when I’m already 1500 down lol this is just messed up. Once you upgrade portion sizing and speed you should just have all your materials the same and keep upgrade food instead.
Essentially pay to play
Sat Jul 13 2024 Aesims86Fun game. You earn coins for each level completed, in turn you use those coins to “upgrade” your kitchen e.g. extra plate, pan, faster cooking time, and earning more coins per customer. This last upgrade is the most expensive in the category. You must reach the coin goal to progress to the next level. Every 20 or so levels, you move to a new restaurant with new food to serve. You do not take any upgrades you spent coins on to the new restaurant. You do not earn more coins through natural progress of the game. Each restaurant has the same type of upgrades as each previous level just with a higher and higher ticket price. You will never be able to afford the upgrade which gives you more coins per customer( which is how you progress) unless you want to spend 40 minutes watching 1 minute ads for “free” coins or you want to pay actual money to purchase coins. It doesn’t matter how perfect you complete each level. I paid actual money to remove the unescapable ads you must sit through because I was really enjoying the game. Totally not worth it. Very frustrating.
Great game
Sat Mar 23 2024 Boom Boom TannerI play several cooking games and this one is probably the least stressful. In other games, when you have to make a combo’d item (as in, a specific item with multiple elements like a burger with lettuce and sauce or a burger with cheese and no sauce), if you tap the wrong thing it will make the combo’d item and it will occupy a plate/tray that you can’t clear unless a customer orders it, or you throw it away, and some levels have conditions like don’t throw anything away, so you either lose, or get angry customers and make less tips. In this game, at least in the first level, it doesn’t allow you to add something to an item unless that combo’d item is specifically on the board as an order to be filled, so you can’t make incorrect orders. This makes the game a lot more relaxing and enjoyable! The graphics are good, game play is smooth and easy, coins are easy to earn. I like this game a lot.
Can get glitchy & Pay to play
Wed Jun 25 2025 Malpal821The game is addictive. I love it for that reason but the more you play the more likely it is glitch. It will often hold you at a level by saying that you missed a customer when you haven’t. I thought it was a one time thing but it’s begun happening more often. It even happened on a level where it was the same three orders back to back. There was nothing to miss. I had another person watch me, no customers missed. The only way to pass? Pay the coin fee. Also, there are several of the levels that you just can’t pass without paying for the upgrades … each level of each game requires that you purchase more than one plate or more than one serving tray and then more than one drink, followed by the purchase of faster speeds to accommodate more customers as the levels get harder. It’s impossible to win without making these purchases and the rate of earning coins isn’t enough to pay for the upgrades to the kitchen without actually using real world money. It averages about $9.99 every two games. So about $5 a game.
Game is great for 4+ but the ads?…
Tue Jan 07 2025 Just Another Puzzle BoxThe game is really fun, simple concept, and visually appealing. My only concern is that the ads are sometimes about games that are more for teens and up, and I think may be inappropriate for kids 4+ as said in the description. The ads may not be suited for 4+ but the game, sure! As a parent (though I don’t have any children but it takes a village), I’d recommend being mindful of this. Especially if your child is like 6+, can read and understands basic ideas of reality. I saw an ad about a game and it involved an interactive story where the title was “Pregnant by my ex’s dad”. Like??? Another ad, was a fashion game and the model in the game… her breasts were bouncing around like some kind of adult game. It made me uncomfortable and I am already 21+ - only because I know I am playing a children’s game.
Other than this… the game is absolutely terrific and I’m addicted.
The money don’t add up
Sat Jul 27 2024 @Jezu.vr_artI really like this game, but I’m noticing an imbalance of it’s. strategy. You only make a little bit of money as the levels increase. The cost for upgrades also increase. While the offers to buy coins using Real Life Currency (RLC) is well priced, you’ll spend more than you wish attempting to keep up with the upgrades needed to successfully run a level. I think lowering the cost of the upgrades or increasing the money you can earn per level should fix this imbalance.a]
Another issue is the combo counter. Why does it stop at ten? If the combo could be utilized better, this could also increase the total earning of each level. Perhaps an extra 100 after ever 10 combo is achieved or 50 on the first 10 combo and 25 for all other combos per level. Giving the players a fair chance to upgrade without spending $2 to $8 every day would be ideal.
Yikes
Tue Jul 15 2025 Mothman’s CoronerThe gameplay isn’t like advertised in the first 7 images on the store page. It was really fun at first, but once you hit the later levels they make the game barely playable. They made when the customers show up to order just spaced out enough that you can’t get the multiplayer without spending real money on the boosters. Now you can barely make enough coins each level to buy upgrades. I’m also like 95% they use ai to make the backgrounds for the main screen. Just goes to show they’re money hungry and don’t actually care that people enjoy their game. Pretty lame for what could’ve been a really fun game. (Also the summary on the store page says players enjoy that the game is ad free. It 1,000% is not ad free. They play an ad after every level. Even if you choose to watch an ad after the level to multiply your winnings, they will show an ad right after the ad you just watched.)
