Chair upgrade makes game unwinnable
Sun Apr 24 2022 RijlRigelAs soon as this game came out, it became my new favorite; I have played all the levels in all the locations and have been enjoying endless mode while waiting for more! This would be an easy 5/5 stars if it weren't for one major issue: The upgrade where you can add chairs to the waiting room to make the first two patients wait longer makes the game unwinnable. Because the chairs are side-by-side and ahead of the front of the queue, more patients enter the queue earlier than they do without the upgrade, and remain there losing patience when before the upgrade they would not have entered the queue yet.
Before this upgrade, I won a little over half the time. Now, I can’t even get 1/3 of the way to the goal before the patients leave. I bought this upgrade in multiple locations before I realized it was the source of the problem, and now the game is completely unwinnable. Most of my other upgrades are maxed out, but even with maxed out staff speed and tray size the nurse just can’t get items to patients fast enough. After the chair upgrade, I now lose so early that I can only play the game for about 10 or 15 minutes before all my lives are gone. I am heartbroken that I can no longer play my favorite game due to an upgrade I bought that was supposed to make gameplay a little easier. I hope that this issue can be fixed in the next update— even a simple ability to un-upgrade would fix this issue. Thanks for reading.
Updated: Fun new game
Tue Feb 01 2022 Katellis28I just downloaded this today, but it’s been fun and addictive so far. I play three other games by NordCurrent and they are all fun. I appreciate that I can earn both gems and coins for upgrades. I hope that I will be able to replay levels once I’ve unlocked free play because I like to go back and get 3 stars on every level.
After playing this for several days, I can still say that it’s fun and addictive, but there are definitely issues with the currency and upgrade system. I’ve made it to level 112, but I spent about $50 to get the gems and coins necessary to do it. My other two favorite NordCurrent games, Airplane Chef and Cooking Fever, make it possible to progress in the game without spending money by level-grinding (playing the same levels over and over to earn coins & gems). This game doesn’t allow that. If you fail a level, you only get to keep 10% of what you earned. That’s really unfair. With how much upgrades cost, that means I have to play a level around 200 times in order to earn enough, but your lives are limited. I think that either Stamina need to be done away with, allowing continual level play like Cooking Fever, or you should keep the full amount of each level earned like Airplane Chef. I really like NordCurrent because they make cute, fun games and they have great customer service. I’m hoping that they listen to their customers and make the game a little easier for everyone to play.
Sad clinic
Tue Apr 05 2022 little fiddler on the roofI love this game but some things need to be changed. First of all, it’s really really hard to earn coins or gems without spending actual money. Even though you get gifts and other things, it’s a very small amount even if you double it by watching the ads. For the amount of things you have to upgrade for one hospital the prices for upgrading are insane. Lowering the prices for upgrading would make it way more achievable for one to beat a hospital level without spending real money. Also, it is hard to get lots of money, especially on the levels that are timed, because the time starts moving and it’s like 10-15 seconds before one patient walks in, so it takes away from 1. Earning you money and 2. Beating that level and earning keys. I would say adding a way for us users to get gems and coins other than by watching ads or receiving gifts and paying out of our own pocket. Incorporate little games (not like candy crush) where we can get more gems and coins and make the games be relatively easy. Also, endless mode is so freaking hard after awhile, like I can’t upgrade anything because I don’t have enough coins or gems and my boosters are low and you expect me to get 800 coins and lose no patients?!?! I can’t. This game would literally be perfect if those few things were changed. This game has so so many pros to it as well, so I still would recommend it.
Not fun without the challenge
Tue May 10 2022 Thal555This game was pretty fun and addictive before the latest update because it was pretty challenging. The fact that you have to keep trying harder each time to win kept bringing me back for more. My current process is at the third hospital London but I mostly play endless mode San Francisco daily for coins and gems (from earning 10 keys) to upgrade London location. After saving up 300 gems, which took a few days just completing regular levels and getting daily gifts, I bought the auto option for weather changing then everything was a breeze afterward. I am currently at the level where illness lvl is 26 with my doctors at lvl 9 and already the winning rate is 99.9%. Then you guys had an upgrade, now what? In endless mode I would have a batch of 4-5 patients where I finished treating them and stand around with nothing to do waiting for the next batch. I would say anyone can complete this easily with just 3 beds. The game just became a slow boring game where the character mostly stand around waiting for new patients. I haven't play regular level yet but after the challenge of the game is being downgraded there isn't any incentive to play at all.
Addictive…But It’s a Money Pit
Fri Mar 11 2022 Tink*1982The game starts off slow, maybe even a little too slow as I almost deleted it before it really got going. But once it picks up it becomes quite addicting. The first hospital gives you decent rewards and you’re able to upgrade as necessary. However, once you move on to the second hospital things unravel quickly. There’s two main reasons:
1. You don’t earn enough to upgrade the second hospital quick enough to beat levels. This leaves you have to either a) spend a lot of real money or b) try to earn money playing endless mode at your first hospital. This leads to the second main problem.
2. Playing endless mode doesn’t allow you to go back to previous levels and try to get a better score. Instead, the levels continue to progress which requires you to use money or gems in an effort to upgrade that hospital. This is useless considering your earnings in endless mode are a fraction of what you made in story mode.
Overall, the game is fun. Am I willing to spend more than the $9 I already threw into it? No. Some games are definitely worth it. This one, however, seems to be set up as a money grab. The levels become too difficult to beat without upgrading quickly which is not doable without spending a good deal of your own money since the earning to spending ratio is far too skewed. Disappointing!
I like this game truly but it needs improvement…
Sun Feb 13 2022 Sharifalamie0000I really like this game and became addicted to it and I would spend money on this game (I have already with no regrets) but I won’t spend on it if I feel it’s unnecessary. I’m in endless mode for San Francisco and would like to play it to complete getting all the patients and getting the rewards but that seems too difficult to do so when I have 10 patients coming in in one second and I’m not fast enough to get the meds for the already admitted patient. I’m tempted to get the automatic clear beds but I don’t want to spend it on one if I won’t get it in the other areas like Oslo, which is also my question. If I get the automatic clear beds in San Francisco, would I automatically get in the other areas too? Or would I have to spend gems/money for the other areas? My suggestion to this game is either make the nurse a bit faster to keep up with the demands with her speed or lessen the amount of patients coming into the clinic at one time. I personally feel that the endless mode should be the enjoyable part of the game when you technically finish the area and just want to play it for the heck of it with no stress. Otherwise I truly love the game as I’m in nursing school and this is a good time spending game!
Progression to Coin earning ratio is off
Fri Jan 28 2022 tiny_dagger13I downloaded the game today and have been playing it all day, and almost love it. The one critic I have is that the rate at which the levels get more difficult and your ability to buy upgrades 100% don’t match. There are a few ways that I see this could be fixed; 1. Allow the player to save up stars and spend them at their own pace, hence allowing the difficulty to increase at a rate the player can keep up with, 2. On levels that the player fails allowing them to keep the total amount that they earn instead of dividing it by 10 (for the most part), example, there was a level that I failed but I had accumulated 260 coins while playing, but at the end I was only gives 26 coins, my upgrades where all over 400 coins at this point, or 3. Lowering the initial amount of upgrades to make them more affordable from the beginning, I’m almost confident enough to say that the prices of upgrades could ALL be cut in half, to match the current earning and difficulty progression ratio. I’m excited to see what comes next for this game.
Addictive but unnecessarily difficult
Thu Feb 17 2022 chmiihI never usually review games but I just had to review this one. I got this game a couple days ago and at first I loved it. It was super addictive and fun but then it got unnecessarily difficult too fast. Too many patients were coming in at once and the nurse does not move fast enough to get everything done in time. Plus, when you lose a level you only get a small percentage of your earnings which makes it so difficult to upgrade your stuff to get past the level. The upgrades are also way too expensive compared to how much money you’re earning by completing the levels. At first, I liked that it was challenging but then it just became ridiculously difficult. If I had to make some suggestions to make this game more enjoyable I would say to at least let players earn 50% of their earnings if they fail a level or make upgrades more reasonably priced. Also, I would especially recommend not sending in 20 patients at once and expecting the ONE nurse to be able to do everything. I like the challenging aspect of the game, it makes me want to play more, but it is now becoming IMPOSSIBLE which makes me want to quit playing.
Fun Bottomless Pit for Your Money.
Mon Apr 18 2022 NoZombieHereAs per other reviews, this game seems to only be after one thing— your money. While this game is fun, you have to spend your own money to surpass the challenging and difficult levels. Even if you upgrade all of the staff and the equipment, the upgrades don’t seem to be reflected in the game play, as the doctors and the nurse still move at a snails pace, and you’ll end up having to spend gems (which are very hard to come by through normal game play, and you typically have to spend your own hard earned money to increase your gems) to “extend your day.” Also, the amount of gems that one has to pay is significant, with it being 35 gems to extend your time on a level, and it drastically increasing for every extension thereafter. So while it’s fun, skip it unless you just want to keep throwing your money into a bottomless pit. Also, the compensation for completing levels are NOT significant, and definitely do NOT match the level of difficulty. Also, the upgrades cost a lot of money, and you’ll basically have to complete multiple levels to get only 1 upgrade. So, save yourself the trouble and just walk away. Don’t fall for the trap like myself and countless others.
Great Game, Needs Work For Necessary Upgrades
Mon Feb 07 2022 AllisonNic94Hello, so I just downloaded this game & I highly enjoy it. But my main concern is it seems like one of those games where you have to spend real money to pass some levels, or “get ahead of the game”. My things is, like in Endless Mode, we are having to earn $650 in coins, but we only get maybe $200 of that & then we have the option to watch a ad to double to $400. As to where if the goal is $650 & the payout is $650, watch a video to get $1300. That would make it to where we could actually afford the upgrades without having to replay the same level 20 times. I literally had to play the same level over 10 times because I couldn’t pass it because I couldn’t afford the necessary upgrades. On top of that, I have to wait numerous hours for my lives to refill. I like the game, but please make it to where it’s actually possible to play & enjoy. People will more likely pay real money to get no ads, buy gems, & other stuff. People that have to pay real money just to win 1 level are just going to delete it. Please help make NECESSARY upgrades possible!
